Tiger Woods struggles at East Lake

Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods failed to get back into the mix at East Lake Tour Championship after he made a double bogey from the trees and a triple bogey with a tee shot into the water in his last five holes.

The shots took him to the bottom of the pack with 1-over 71. Woods explained that he gave his best but couldn’t produce a result.

“’I put everything I had into that start and didn’t have much at the end. Just ran out of gas,” he said.

Woods has had a tough time at the tournament with his first birdie coming at the 21st hole. He entered the tournament as the number one seed but refused to reveal details about his health.

”I’m tired,” he said when asked about his condition.

Woods is unlikely to win the tournament but could walk away with a $10 million prize if Henrik Stenson, Adam Scott, Zach Johnson or Matt Kuchar do not win this tournament.
