Top golf pros in the fray for Eagleburg Open in Bangalore
Bangalore, Feb 11 (IANS): The Professional Golf Tour of India and Eagleton Golf Resort will conduct the second PGTI-Eagleburg Open here from February 12 to 15 with a prize purse of Rs. 30 lakh.
The tournament will feature a strong line-up of professionals including the likes of defending champion Anirban Lahiri (third on 2013 Asian Tour Order of Merit) who will also be leading the local challenge.
Also in the fray are India’s other top professionals Himmat Singh Rai, Rahil Gangjee, Chiragh Kumar, Shamim Khan and Mukesh Kumar, and Bangladesh’s Md Siddikur Rahman, the reigning Indian Open champion and fourth on 2013 Asian Tour Order of Merit besides Sri Lankan Mithun Perera.
M Dharma, C Muniyappa, R Murthy, Abhishek Jha, R Srinivas and Gaurav Diwan are the other top Bangalore golfers in the contest besides Rolex Rankings leader Anirban Lahiri.

The venue for the event, situated on the Bangalore-Mysore highway, is home to a USPGA standard course. This picturesque course is spread out over 170 acres and has undulating fairways and huge greens with an excellent drainage system.
Over 40,000 trees, lush turf and sophisticated fertilization, irrigation and waste water management contribute to a natural and pleasing biosphere.
