US maintain 1-point lead in Presidents Cup
US have maintained a one point lead in the Presidents Cup after Marc Leishman produced one clutch and one perfect 7-iron.
The four-game match was extended to Saturday morning due to rain as Leishman and Angel Cabrera outlasted Brandt Snedeker and Webb Simpson for a 2-1 victory which resulted in the Internationals drawing 3-3 in the foursome sessions, ahead of the next match day which will have 10 matches.
Snedeker did a 9-iron for a birdie to start the game after a 3 hour delay due to rain but was not enough to match up with Leishman, who rolled in an 8-foot birdie putt on the 15th for a 1-up lead and won the match with a 7-iron from 191 yards which resulted in a birdie.
The Americans need 17 points to secure a win and the officials have revealed that the Presidents Cup could be extended to Monday due to more rain in the forecast.
