WATCH: Jon Rahm and David Puig battle down the fairways for victory at the Open de Espana
The final round of the 2024 Open de Espana is underway at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid. In Round 4 of the tournament, three Spanish golfers, Jon Rahm, David Puig, and Angel Hidalgo, are in contention for victory, with Puig leading the table at the time of writing.
In the fourth round, the Open de Espana started with a flyer as LIV Golf professional Jon Rahm and David Puig battled down the fairway. On Hole No. 1, Rahm nailed his tee shot right down the fairway to tie the lead, while Puig hit a shot 50 yards past Rahm and followed him for a birdie to get within one shot.
Currently, David Puig shot 13-under after six holes to get in the lead. He is being followed by Angel Hidalgo (7 holes) and Jon Rahm (6 holes), who are tied in second place with a score of 11-under.
This season, Hidalgo and Puig have not registered a single professional win. Jon Rahm, on the other hand, after appealing his fines to play at the Open de Espana, is the current LIV Golf Individual Champion after beating Joaquin Niemann at LIV Golf Chicago.
Apart from the three Spaniards, Patrick Reed and Jens Fahrbring also have a chance of claiming victory at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.
