What driver does Bryson DeChambeau use?
In recent years, he had been using a Cobra LTDx driver, which had only 7.5 degrees of loft. However, when his equipment contract expired at the end of 2022, he also temporarily converted to a TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus. Then came the revelation that salvaged his season. DeChambeau arrived at the LIV Greenbrier race with a driver—a Krank Formula Fire LD Driver—that no one had ever heard of. He would shoot excellent weekend scores of 61 and 58 to win the event. Not unexpectedly, he could not contain his joy about his new toy. Even though his swing wasn't perfect, he hit nearly every fairway.
What fairway wood does Bryson DeChambeau use?
DeChambeau used to carry two Cobra models with 10.5 and 13.5 degrees of loft, respectively: the Cobra Radspeed Big Tour 3-wood and the Cobra Speedzone Tour 5-wood. Though we test most of the clubs released by the major brands, it's important to note that Bryson's specifications are very different, so even though the names of these clubs may sound familiar, their shafts, settings, and other features are typically very different from those of clubs that are made available to the general public. We can only say it was decent enough to be our choice for the most excellent fairway wood of 2021, the ordinary Cobra Radspeed fairway.
What hybrid does Bryson DeChambeau use?
Like most things in his bag, DeChambeau often plays around with his irons. Before switching to Cobra King One Length MiM Tour irons, which went from six-iron down to pitching wedge, he was utilising a few Cobra King One Length Utility irons (4-5). His irons were all seven iron length (37.5 inches), so he could swing every club with the same consistency.
He left Cobra in 2023, giving up both the Tour and utility irons in favour of a set of Ping i230 irons that went from a three-iron to a pitching wedge. It was a little strange that DeChambeau was utilising a pair of irons from a company that few people were familiar with for the first LIV event of the year, considering that as recently as December 2023, he was bragging about all of his equipment on his own, YouTube channel.
Avoda Golf only offers irons and caps; the irons are available in "Combo" and "Same" lengths. The 'World's First Combo-Length Iron Set,' so it says.
Avoda's 'Combo' length allows the lob wedge to 8-iron in the same length of 36 inches, equivalent to a 9-iron length, as opposed to all the irons being the same length. Then, each of the 4, 5, 6, and 7 irons have a giant head to help preserve ball speed and forgiveness, and they are all variable length but somewhat shorter than typical.
What irons does Bryson DeChambeau use?
DeChambeau carried three Ping Glide 4.0 wedges in his luggage instead of the Artisan prototypes he had for a very long time (though we think he travels with a lot more). He typically uses loft angles of 45, 56, and 60 degrees. He uses LA Golf Rebar Proto shafts, similar to how he chooses his irons.
The Ping Glide 4.0 wedges are our favourite and unquestionably rank among the greatest wedges we've tested in recent years. It's among the greatest wedges we've ever tested for chipping because of the outstanding turf interaction on short shots.
What putter does Bryson DeChambeau use?
Bryson began experimenting with arm lock methods in 2017, so he improved as a putter. His go-to putter is the SIK Pro C-Series Armlock with a heavy LA Golf shaft and JumboMax JMX Jumboflat 17 grip. It's interesting to note that because of the putter head's placement and shaft weight, the sweet spot of his putter is in the heel.
What golf ball does Bryson DeChambeau use?
When he joined LIV Golf, DeChambeau's contract with Bridgestone Tour B X, which he was using, was mutually terminated. Titleist offers a wide range of premium golf balls to suit different purposes and are among the best that money can buy.
What shoes does Bryson DeChambeau wear?
Bryson used Puma golf shoes for many years, but because an apparel contract no longer binds him, he can choose the best golf shoes available, and like many other players, he has chosen Footjoy golf shoes. He's wearing the Footjoy Hyperflex Carbon shoe right now, which is one of our favourites as well. It received a perfect five stars in our review because it's one of the most comfortable golf shoes we've ever tried and one of the finest for walking.
