Ruthless New England Patriots slaughter Oakland RaidersĀ
Coming off a bye week, Oakland Raiders would have wanted to prove that if Derek Carr's injury last year had been the sole reason which prevented them from winning the AFC. The New England Patriots quickly evaporated the Oakland Raiders' morale with a crushing 33-8 victory in a game that was played in Mexico City.
Tom Brady threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Dion Lewis in the first-quarter for the Patriots. Lewis finished with 28 receiving yards on four catches and a touchdown. He also rushed for 60 yards on ten carries.
In the second quarter, Brady threw a five-yard touchdown pass to Danny Amendola. Amendola finished with eight catches for 66 yards receiving and a touchdown. Right before halftime, Stephen Gostkowski drilled a 62-yard field goal for the Patriots.

In the fourth quarter, Derek Carr threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Amari Cooper (Michael Crabtree 2-point conversion) for the Raiders.
