Who is the biggest threat to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC?

I am sure the Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) were enjoying their bye week, but at the same time, they must have been watching the scoreboard to see what else is going on in the NFL. A lot of people think the Eagles are a sure lock to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, but people need to hold off on that.

Yes, the Eagles maintain time of possession, and Carson Wentz (2,262 passing yards 23 touchdowns 5 interceptions) will most likely win MVP this season. However, there are other teams that could threaten the Eagles come playoff time.

The New Orleans Saints (7-2) may be the biggest threat to the Eagles. Drew Brees has won a Super Bowl championship, and the Saints beat the Eagles in the playoffs a couple of seasons ago. Philadelphia has a good run defence, but the Saints have found an identity running the football with Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara.

Ingram has rushed for 672 yards and 7 touchdowns on 144 carries so far this season while Kamara has 417 yards and 4 touchdowns on 64 carries so far this season. He has also caught 42 passes for 373 yards receiving and two touchdowns so far this season.

Philadelphia will have a tough time trying to stop 6'3" Michael Thomas (59 catches 662 yards 2 touchdowns). The Saints are also very physical on defence and they force turnovers.

The Minnesota Vikings (7-2) is another possible threat to the Eagles. They love to blitz from all angles and make quarterbacks uncomfortable. Case Keenum (1,914 yards 11 touchdowns 5 interceptions) has been a surprise at the quarterback position so far this season. He is doing more good than bad. It seemed as if losing Dalvin Cook was going to be the end of the world for the Vikings in the backfield, but it hasn't. Jerrick McKinnon and Latavius Murray have done a good job of splitting carries in the backfield.

Stefon Diggs (31 catches 500 yards 5 touchdowns) and Adam Thielen (56 catches 793 yards 2 touchdowns) might be the most underrated receiving core in the NFL and all they do is make plays.

The Los Angeles Rams (7-2) are another possible threat to the Philadelphia Eagles. These two teams play each other week 14 in Los Angeles. The Rams also have to play the Minnesota Vikings on the road this week and the New Orleans Saints at home.

Los Angeles has scored 296 points so far this season which is the most in the NFL. Philadelphia has scored has scored 283 points so far this season which is the second most in the NFL. Jared Goff has made a major improvement so far this season. He has passed for 2,385 yards 16 yards and 4 interceptions so far this season. Todd Gurley has rushed for 754 yards on 172 carries and 7 touchdowns so far this season.

Sean McVay has been an offensive wizard for the Rams. He knows how to get the best out of his players. The thing is the Rams might be a year away from winning it all with how tough the NFC is.
