10 GTA 6 teasers Rockstar secretly put in GTA 5, as per fans
It has almost been a year since the first GTA 6 trailer was released, and fans have been waiting for more information on the upcoming title since. However, a section of them believes that Rockstar Games might have been teasing the sequel secretly in GTA 5 (mostly in its multiplayer - GTA Online). Some of them seem pretty compelling, but as Rockstar hasn't confirmed any of them to be actual teasers, there is no way to be completely sure.
Nevertheless, as we wait for the next bit of information on Grand Theft Auto 6, let's take a look at 10 teasers Rockstar secretly put in Grand Theft Auto 5, as per fans.
Anniversary artwork and other GTA 6 teasers fans believe Rockstar might have secretly put in GTA 5
1) Downtown Cab Co. Shirt
The Downtown Cab Co. Revere Collar shirt debuted in GTA 5 Online in January 2023. Fans were quite intrigued by its graphic, as many of them believed it resembled Florida/Miami, the fictional version of which Leonida/Vice City, is where Grand Theft Auto 6 is set.
2) Taxi Work artwork
Fans also found a Miami/Vice City link in Grand Theft Auto 5 Online's Taxi Work artwork. The artstyle, particularly the city's silhouette, looked a lot like the cover of a book named Miami Taxi Vibes, compelling many to believe that it might be a secret GTA 6 teaser.
3) Red Happy Moon Tee promotional art
Rockstar Games' promotional image for the GTA 5 Online Red Happy Moon Tee garnered a lot of attention for possibly containing a GTA 6 teaser. This alleged teaser, as per fans, was the partly concealed Vinewood sign at the back, whose visible portion formed the roman numeral for six (VI).
4) Another possible Vinewood sign teaser
Another possible teaser, as per fans, came in the form of a GTA+ Taxi Services promotional image. It too had a partly concealed Vinewood sign in the background, whose visible portions read VI and NEW, which many fans believe might be hinting at the new Grand Theft Auto installment, GTA 6.
5) Anniversary artwork
Yet another teaser speculation related to an artwork, this time in the promotional image for GTA 5's 10th Anniversary Event in Grand Theft Auto Online. Fans found the pole's lines forming the roman numeral VI, with a plane flying in its direction, quite intriguing.
6) ??? Tee
The mysterious ??? Tee was added to Grand Theft Auto 5 Online in June 2023. Fans decoded that the numbers on its graphic translated to the phrase "ONE DAY WILL REVEAL ALL". Interestingly, within this numerical sequence is a part that reads 12523. It can be looked at as December 5, 2023, which was the release date of the first official GTA 6 trailer.
7) Vice City Metro Mule livery
The HVY Nightmare Scarab is an Arena War vehicle in GTA 5 Online. One of its liveries, named Nut House, features the Vice City Metro Mule livery. The logo was seemingly spotted in the September 2022 GTA 6 leaks, which is why fans believe it to be a possible teaser.
8) Vice City Mambas livery
Vice City Mambas is a fictional football team, and it was mentioned first in 2002's Grand Theft Auto Vice City. Its logo too was seemingly spotted in the upcoming title's leaked development clips in 2022 and can be seen branded on the Mambas 24 livery for the car Emperor Vectre in GTA 5 Online.
9) The Cayo Perico Heist teaser coordinates
Rockstar Games dropped a teaser for The Cayo Perico Heist in November 2020, featuring some coordinates. Fans soon discovered that these coordinates pointed at a road that was vaguely shaped like the roman numeral VI, and believed it to be a possible GTA 6 teaser.
10) Other Vice City references
Beach mats referencing Vice City as VC can be seen at the beach in Los Santos. There are also other references in GTA 5, such as the poster for Vice - The Musical. These things have been in the game since launch, and while it cannot be said if Rockstar was teasing Vice City in GTA 6 back then already, some fans believe it might be the case.
Readers are once again reminded that these are only fan-speculated teasers, and none of them have been confirmed to be official teasers by Rockstar Games.
