10 things GTA fans would like to do if given control of the franchise

There are many things that Grand Theft Auto (GTA) fans would want to change in the franchise. While that could have been possible in a perfect world, currently, Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games hold control of the franchise. Recently, a Redditor named arbitersd (u/arbitersd) asked the community what they would do if they were given full control of the franchise.

Here are 10 things fans stated they would do if they had a say in the working of the franchise.

1) Integrating Grand Theft Auto 4

Grand Theft Auto 4 currently consists of three different gameplays. The main story and the two DLCs make it worth to play GTA 4 in 2024. However, u/Jealous_Candidate677 wished they could combine all three games and introduce a character-switching feature, similar to that of Grand Theft Auto 5.


2) Balance Grand Theft Auto Online economy

Grand Theft Auto Online is notorious for its imbalanced economy, where a broken bottle costs $300. Hence, Redditor u/CodSnipingKing wished they could balance the economy and lower the prices of the items.


3) Fixing the modder situation

Grand Theft Auto Online on PC is infested with modders and Rockstar seems to have done little to nothing to fix this issue. Redditor u/Sensitive_Orchid_975 proposed that the developer offer modders a separate lobby and prohibit them from entering normal lobbies, with punishments for any breaches.

Even after a decade, fans still want a GTA 5 story DLC before Grand Theft Auto 6’s release. Redditor u/MarMarL2k19 wanted to make story DLCs for the game as promised by Rockstar.


5) Removing Oppressor Mk II

Despite getting multiple nerfs, the Oppressor Mk II is still one of the most hated vehicles in the game. Therefore, Redditor u/K4mik4dze__ offered to remove it from the game altogether.


6) San Andreas Stories

While Rockstar never released a prequel for San Andreas, a GTA San Andreas Stories mod is currently being developed by third-party modders. However, user u/MisterScarlet proposed to release it as an official game if they get total control of the franchise.


7) Teaching a lesson to the hackers

Redditor u/boogerpicker76 proposed a plan to teach a lesson to hackers in GTA Online. Hackers are worse than modders, as they breach other player’s privacy and security. There have been many instances in the past when PC players had to stay away from the game due to hackers.


8) Revive LCS and VCS

Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories are the two most popular prequels in the Grand Theft Auto series. However, they are only available on old platforms. Therefore, Redditor u/TheOnesWhoDied wants to bring these titles to modern gaming platforms.


9) Remaster old games

Rockstar Games is notoriously slow in remastering its old video games. It took nearly two decades for the studio to remaster the 3D Universe trilogy. Therefore, user u/LIGHTSTRIKEZ099 stated they would remaster various old GTA games and add new features to the HD Universe titles.


10) GTA Breaking Bad

Redditor u/5uck17 wanted to make a Grand Theft Auto title inspired by the popular American TV series Breaking Bad. Rockstar Games already offers the Acid Lab and Meth Lab, two of the best businesses in GTA Online, that are seemingly inspired by the series. Nonetheless, a full Breaking Bad-inspired Grand Theft Auto title would be badass.
