5 creepiest things in GTA series we won't be able to forget anytime soon
It is not just the missions, story, and gameplay mechanics that make Grand Theft Auto (GTA) games great. The weird, creepy Easter Eggs present in their open-world maps also contribute a lot to this. The series' installments have featured various things in this category, but there are some that are odd on a whole other level and won't be forgotten anytime soon.
Fans also expect more of the same in Grand Theft Auto 6, but we don't know much about that title yet. As we wait for more information, let's take a look back at the five creepiest things in the GTA series that fans will not be able to forget anytime soon.

Heart of Liberty and 4 other creepiest things in the GTA series that fans won't be able to forget anytime soon
1) Dead Meat
Dead Meat is a story mission from Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories and its events are a great example of when things went too far in the GTA series. For those unaware, the mission involves the protagonist, Toni Cipriani, murdering a deli owner, chopping him up in bits, and delivering the remains back to his deli.
Needless to say, those who played this Rockstar Games title won't be forgetting this creepy mission anytime soon.
2) Carnicero Romero
Speaking of human remains, Carnicero Romero is a butcher store in Grand Theft Auto Vice City that has human organs and a brain on sale along with other things like beef, pork, and poultry.
The shop cannot be entered, but the items can be viewed on display from the outside. Those wanting to witness it for themselves should head over to Vice City's Little Haiti district.
It should be noted that fans want Rockstar to add creepy things in GTA 6, and with Vice City set to return in that game, it will be interesting to see if Carnicero Romero gets featured again.
3) Heart of Liberty
Since Grand Theft Auto 4's Liberty City is based on New York, it had to include an iteration of the famous Statue of Liberty. The game's version is called the Statue of Happiness and is located on Happiness Island.
The island can be reached by sea or air, but there is also a rather complicated method of getting inside the statue as well. Those who manage to get in will find a beating heart chained to the statue, which is an odd sight, but it is definitely one of GTA 4's highlights.
4) Jolene Cranley-Evans's ghost
The supernatural has also been a part of the Grand Theft Auto series. In Grand Theft Auto 5's story mode, players can encounter Jolene Cranley-Evans' ghost between 23:00 and 00:00 hours (in-game time) at the top of Mount Gordo.
One can watch from a distance, but getting too close to Jolene's ghost will make it disappear. While the ghost figure itself is creepy enough, players can also hear her screaming sometimes, which adds to the eerie atmosphere.
5) Mount Chiliad Mystery
The Mount Chiliad Mystery consists of a mural in Grand Theft Auto 5, depicting what seems to be the mountain itself, a jetpack, a cracked egg, and a spaceship. On top of the mural is an eye and all of these symbols link to it via a network.
Despite Grand Theft Auto 5 being 10 years old now, Rockstar Games has yet to provide a definitive answer as to what this mural means. Players have their own theories, with few believing that it might be linked to the canceled GTA 5 story mode DLCs, but there is no way to tell what this mysterious mural actually means.
