5 fun Cyberpunk 2077-inspired side missions GTA 6 should have

Cyberpunk 2077 and GTA 6 are quite far apart in terms of the setting, but that doesn't mean the latter can't take inspiration from the former. Although it's an open-world game where you can drive vehicles, shoot people, and complete missions, Cyberpunk 2077 is set in a futuristic "high tech, low life" world that is quite different from the one created by Rockstar.

Grand Theft Auto games are set in a world that parallels our own but in a much more satirical representation. However, some side missions in the CD Projekt Red title could definitely serve as inspirations for GTA 6. These fit in with Rockstar's satire, and the themes aren't exclusive to a cyberpunk world.

5 Cyberpunk 2077 side missions that GTA 6 should replicate

1) The Hunt

The Hunt is inarguably one of the most unforgettable side missions in Cyberpunk 2077, as it involves rescuing a boy from the clutches of a psychopathic serial killer. Although the mission involves the unique Braindance technology that wouldn't seem apt in GTA 6, the rest is just classic sleuthing.

A series of missions are tied to this, revealing a deep conspiracy that starts with the death of Night City's mayor. The side mission "The Hunt" also gives us insight into the mind of the crazed killer who's been abducting boys, and it seems heavily influenced by The Cell (2000), a psychological thriller movie with a similar plot.

2) Burning Desire

Cyberpunk 2077's Burning Desire would be the ideal side mission for GTA 6, as it seems like the perfect match for Rockstar's sense of humor. This gig involves a man who had an implant for his private parts, but it has malfunctioned and it's up to V to save him. The name of the mission itself refers to the unpleasant feeling that this man is going through.

As expected, you need to drive the afflicted man to a ripperdoc and be quick about it. Unfortunately, there's going to be some obstacles on the way. Several commercials in the Grand Theft Auto series talk about controversial surgeries, so setting a mission based on this theme would make perfect sense.

3) Big in Japan

This mission is famous for two reasons: The hilarious reference to The Office and the Alphaville hit from the 80s. However, what many players don't know is that it also offers one of the best katanas in Cyberpunk 2077—The Scalpel. The mission involves the protagonist rescuing a doctor from the Tyger Claws gang and is quite engaging.

The best way to complete the mission is through stealth, which makes it all the more engaging. In the end, the Japanese doctor explains his backstory, which is identical to that of Hidetoshi Hasagawa in The Office. GTA 6 could have a similar mission, but Rockstar can definitely think of a better way to refer to the hit show instead of copy-pasting the quote almost verbatim.

4) The Prophet's Song

One of the most entertaining NPCs in Cyberpunk 2077's Night City is Garry the Prophet, and he seems awfully similar to some of the soapboxers in Grand Theft Auto IV. His far-fetched and sometimes hilarious conspiracies may almost remind you of similar conspiracy theorists found throughout the Grand Theft Auto games.

Garry the Prophet leads to a somewhat intriguing side mission if you treat him correctly throughout your many encounters with him. The GTA 6 leaks seemed to share a similar conspiracy theorist, and he seemed to be involved with missions. So, something like The Prophet's Song could be incorporated in the game.

5) Stadium Love

Stadium Love is a unique side mission in Cyberpunk 2077 which proves that the NPCs you're always killing have some human qualities in them. Although you usually encounter the 6th Street gangsters as enemies, this mission has the option of engaging in a friendly shooting contest with them and even partying together, while leaving with a reward if you win the contest.

Now imagine if you could have such a one-time friendly encounter with one of GTA 6's gangs. It would completely change your perspective toward them.
