There are countless GTA San Andreas moments players have fallen in love with, and some of them have been imprinted in the collective memory of fans. From the very introductory cutscene to the conclusive epilogue, the whole storyline of the game is a rollercoaster ride of exciting highs with some calm moments in between.

There are missions that simply involve memorable cutscenes, some feature complex heists, and others have unique action sequences. We've made a list of all unique GTA San Andreas moments that players remember to this day.

GTA San Andreas moments that everyone loves

1) The first three missions

The three introductory missions make up one of the best GTA San Andreas moments. These are all essentially cutscenes, but this immediately establishes the notion that San Andreas relies heavily on its storyline. The first one shows CJ arriving in Los Santos when he's immediately picked up by the CRASH officers and harassed, before being dropped off in Ballas territory.

This is where CJ says the iconic line, "Ah s***, here we go again." The next cutscene starts when you get home and meet Big Smoke. This is inarguably one of the best Big Smoke moments in the game and embedded in every fan's memory. The next cutscene introduces us to Sweet and Kendl, CJ's surviving brother and sister, and reveals the family dynamic among the Johnsons.

2) Casino heist

The first proper heist mission in the GTA series is the one in which you break into the vault at Caligula's Casino. Several different setup missions precede this ambitious heist. The heist finale itself, named "Breaking the Bank at Caligula's," plays out like something out of a heist movie. In fact, it may have been inspired by Ocean's Eleven (2001).

The exciting step-by-step objectives involve infiltrating the casino under a disguise, using tear gas and night vision goggles, fighting the Mafia and evading the police, and even stylishly exiting via parachute. This is one of those GTA San Andreas moments that are worth replaying.

3) The Green Sabre

The Green Sabre is definitely one of the most dramatic moments in the Grand Theft Auto series and a turning point for the storyline in San Andreas. This is where CJ learns of Big Smoke and Ryder's betrayal, thanks to Cesar. Sweet asks CJ to meet him at a shootout between the Grove Street Families (GSF) and the Ballas, but it turns out to be a set-up. Afterward, CJ is sent away to the countryside while Sweet gets locked in prison.

4) Vertical Bird

One of the coolest GTA San Andreas moments is when you fly a VTOL aircraft and test its dogfighting capabilities. This secret agent-like mission is provided by none other than Mike Toreno, and although it doesn't make sense in the storyline, it sure is fun. After breaking into an aircraft carrier (preferably with stealth), you steal a Hydra and destroy some targets.

5) The ending

The ending is undoubtedly one of the best GTA San Andreas moments as it brings a fitting end to CJ's grand adventure. The mission itself, End of the Line, is quite long, starting with CJ heading out to Big Smoke's lair, and this involves crashing into the building with a SWAT APC. The Los Santos riots continue in the background, which makes this all the more dramatic.

After Big Smoke's tragic but cathartic final moments, we need to go after Tenpenny, who's been the most hated character throughout the game. This results in a dramatic chase, where Tenpenny dies in an accident, and the ending is extremely satisfying when CJ and his friends gather to celebrate their many victories.
