5 interesting things to do in GTA 3 after completing the main story

GTA 3's success helped establish the Grand Theft Auto franchise. While the 2001 title is technologically inferior to most of its peers, there are some interesting things you can do in it after wrapping up the main story. This can especially be quite the experience if you haven't played the game in a while or are playing it for the very first time.

So, in this article, we will look at five interesting things to do in GTA 3 after completing the main story. Although these endeavors can be undertaken during the campaign as well, doing them afterward is a little more convenient and keeps the post-game entertaining.

Finding the Ghost Town and 4 other things to do in GTA 3 after completing the main story

1) Peacefully explore the map

Grand Theft Auto 3's map isn't very big, but it has some interesting details such as easter eggs, a hidden message, and unique NPCs to name a few. Exploring it can also provide an idea of how far Rockstar Games and Grand Theft Auto titles have progressed since.

You may have traveled across it many times during the story mode, but taking time to spot all the little details will allow you to appreciate it. Additionally, it is better to do this after completing the campaign as the entire map will be unlocked.

2) Complete stunt jumps

You can complete a total of 20 stunt jumps in Grand Theft Auto 3. They are located across the map. Hence, doing them after beating the main story, which is when the entire map gets unlocked helps in maintaining the flow.

It also keeps a challenging, albeit fun task available if the lack of missions post the main story becomes boring. Furthermore, completing all 20 stunt jumps is required for 100% completion.

3) Find the Ghost Town

Hidden behind the hills of Shoreside Vale is a small area featuring some buildings and roads. This is actually where the introduction of GTA 3's story mode takes place and is referred to as the Ghost Town by Grand Theft Auto fans.

You can use the Dodo aircraft to get here. However, note that controlling it is tricky and takes a lot of practice. So, get used to it while playing the story mode and then use it to explore the Ghost Town afterward. You can also use mods or GTA 3 cheats to reach this hidden location.

4) Find the developer names Easter Egg

Flying the Dodo to the map's boundary behind Shoreside Vale hills will eventually get you to a point where names like Obbeburgh, Aaronsville, Adamton, Les County, and more start spawning on the mini-map/radar. This is an Easter Egg that pays homage to the people behind GTA 3's development.

However, since flying the Dodo is a challenge in itself, it is, once again, better that you take time getting used to the aircraft first, and then attempt finding this Easter Egg later to ensure a successful run.

5) Complete Paramedic, Vigilante, and Firefighter side missions

Paramedic, Vigilante, and Firefighter jobs are classic side/optional missions in the Grand Theft Auto series. They let you roleplay as cops, paramedics, or firefighters, helping to maintain order in Liberty City.

These jobs can keep you entertained if you're feeling bored after beating all story missions. Additionally, despite being optional, completing these missions is mandatory for achieving 100% completion in Grand Theft Auto 3. So, after wrapping up the campaign, you can start focusing on them.
