5 RDR2 features we'd like to see in GTA 6

GTA 6 is expected to be one of the most feature-rich titles from Rockstar Games, and fans are considering both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 as standard bases to measure the game’s improvements. Since the latter was released more recently, it has more features than Grand Theft Auto 5. RDR 2 is currently the most ambitious project released by the studio.

This article lists five features from RDR 2 that Rockstar should incorporate in Grand Theft Auto 6.

Note: This article is subjective and only reflects the writer’s opinions.

5 features from RDR 2 that GTA 6 should include

1) Bigger map

The player base is eagerly waiting for a bigger Grand Theft Auto 6 map size. RDR 2 currently has the biggest open world from Rockstar, which also dwarfs the State of San Andreas. The upcoming game should have a bigger map, especially if Rockstar plans to drag it for a decade after release.

Moreover, the map of RDR 2 has many locations with various characteristics. This feature should be implemented in the GTA 6 map as well so that each location looks and feels different.

2) Eagle Eye

The Eagle Eye feature is seemingly confirmed, but nothing can be said for sure until the game's release. The Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks disclosed an Eagle Eye-like special ability for Jason. Keep in mind that while it was not the same as Red Dead Redemption 2, the feature looked very similar.

Rockstar Games should consider adding this feature in the final version of the game as fans are looking forward to it. The pre-alpha version of the special ability already looked cool. Therefore, it deserves to be in GTA 6.

3) Enhanced NPC Interactions

In RDR 2, you can interact with almost any NPC. Each of them has various unique dialogs and reactions depending on how you approach them. This should also be one of the standard features in Grand Theft Auto 6. NPCs make the open world more lively as they are expected to act like real-life people.

The first GTA 6 trailer showed a variety of NPC models roaming in the streets, driving, relaxing, and doing various other things. Rockstar Games should give them plenty of dialog so that players can talk with them when bored.

4) Enhanced gore

Grand Theft Auto 5’s gore is very boring as it tends to protect the characters from showing extreme damage. There is already a high demand for Red Dead Redemption 2 levels of gore in Grand Theft Auto 6. Therefore, the studio should improve the gore of the Grand Theft Auto series in GTA 6.

It is worth noting that the 3D Universe Grand Theft Auto titles are more gorey where you can decapitate someone with a sword, cut their limbs, and do many other violent stuff. These features disappeared from the HD Universe titles. Therefore, fans want detailed gore to return.

5) Attention to details

Red Dead Redemption 2 beats Grand Theft Auto 5 when it comes to details in the game. The attention to detail in Grand Theft Auto 6 is also expected to be of the same level as RDR 2. While the first trailer showed some jaw-dropping details, fans are expecting more when they get to interact with the open world directly.

Therefore, GTA 6 should not skimp on the in-game details and give fans what they want. RDR 2 is a good scale of measurement and the upcoming game should at least match its level.
