Achieving 100% completion is a common goal many GTA players share, regardless of whether it's the first Grand Theft Auto title or Grand Theft Auto 5. The latest game in this franchise gives you access to some unique rewards as well as other cool content. This includes UFO sightings, a mission involving Bigfoot, and even the ability to turn into Bigfoot.
This content makes fully completing GTA 5's story mode something that all players should strive for. In light of that, we've compiled a list of reasons you ought to finish the game in its entirety.

Why you should 100% complete GTA 5 story mode
1) The UFOs
The Grand Theft Auto series always had myths related to UFOs and aliens. These saw a spike after the release of San Andreas, as players claimed to have seen flying UFOs in that game. The title has a location based on Area 51 and even a small bar that shows a UFO map of the game world.
However, it's only in GTA 5 where you get to see "real" UFOs. There's a spot on top of Mount Chiliad that says, "Come back when your story is complete." Once you achieve 100% completion, you'll see UFOs in different locations across the map, several of which have FIB markings.
2) "Bigfoot" mission
Grand Theft Auto 5 has several interesting Strangers and Freaks missions, but the most unique is The Last One. This title alludes to the last Bigfoot, and Franklin encounters it during the mission. After stumbling upon a hunter in Raton Canyon and deciding to help him, you'll find "Bigfoot" and have to chase him down.
Funnily enough, it turns out to be a guy in a costume, but this doesn't mean the Bigfoot isn't real in Grand Theft Auto 5. There's a small scene during the mission Predator where the creature will be watching you from the woods.
3) The ability to become a Bigfoot
Achieving 100% completion in GTA 5 story mode not only unlocks The Last One Bigfoot mission but also allows you to play as this mythical creature. While the regular Peyotes lets you transform into a random wild animal based on where it's located, the Golden Peyote turns you into a Bigfoot.
After completing The Last One, a Golden Peyote Plant can be found in the Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness. Consuming this will turn you into a Sasquatch.
4) Career Criminal achievement and T-shirt
Of course, achieving 100% completion in any Grand Theft Auto game gets you an achievement, and in Grand Theft Auto 5, it's called Career Criminal. This is considered a golden trophy on the PlayStation. On Xbox, achieving the feat gets you a 100 Gamerscore.
Seeing that 100% completion checkmark on the Rockstar Games Social Club is also quite satisfying, especially as it is displayed on your account. You also get an orange T-shirt that says "100%" on it added to Franklin's wardrobe. Unlike the iconic "Lousy T-shirt" from Vice City, this one indeed looks cool.
5) Bragging rights
You get a sense of accomplishment from achieving 100% completion in a GTA game, and only a handful of other titles can make you feel this way. This might be because of the scale and freedom Grand Theft Auto titles provide. The fact that you're able to do so much in each of these games that offer a massive open-world map and sandbox gameplay makes completing it in its entirety more fulfilling.
Besides, if you're an achievement hunter who has already achieved 100% completion in every other Grand Theft Auto title, you'd naturally want to do the same in GTA 5.
