5 reasons why GTA 6 should have Olympic Games-like event
Grand Theft Auto fans often speculate about the type of things they might get to see in GTA 6. One of them is a multiplayer mode, that is currently unconfirmed but unlikely to be excluded from the game given Grand Theft Auto Online's success. We can expect it to be pretty similar to the 2013 title, but there should also be some key differences that set the sequel apart and offer a unique experience.
Among these things can be Olympic Games-like events that bring the community together in a fun, competitive way. In this article, we will take a look at five reasons why GTA 6 should have Olympic Games-like events.

Making the game less grindy and four other reasons why GTA 6 should have Olympic Games-like events
1) They could add to the title's appeal
One of the major attractions of Grand Theft Auto games is the ability to do almost anything. The amount of freedom players get in this series is what makes it stand out, and GTA 6, which is arguably its most anticipated entry so far, needs to go the extra mile.
Missions and other free-roam activities should make up for most of its content. However, Olympic Games-like events could add an extra element of fun and a bit of uniqueness in terms of all that one can do in its open world.
2) Players missed sports in Grand Theft Auto 5
Rockstar Games incorporated sports like golf and tennis in Grand Theft Auto 5's story mode and online. That said, players still missed other sporting activities like basketball and bowling, which were part of the series' previous installments, and have been quite vocal about their absence.
Hence, including several Olympic Games-like events such as swimming, boxing, and shooting competitions, could go very well with the player base, and as already stated, would add to the number of things to do in GTA 6's open world.
3) Making the game less grindy
Grand Theft Auto Online has been very popular throughout its existence, but there are certain elements of which its player base isn't a big fan. For instance, the game is very grindy and somewhat focuses less on having fun.
Although that isn't completely bad, having a balance between the two can offer a much better experience overall, which is what GTA 6 should aim for. There are many ways to do that and including the Olympic Games as entertaining optional activities seems like a great example.
4) Could help the online community in engaging more
Grand Theft Auto Online, which is Grand Theft Auto 5's multiplayer mode, has ironically become more of a single-player experience of late. Players prefer doing solo heists and missions in Invite Only sessions, which defeats the purpose of there being an online Grand Theft Auto variant.
To counter that in GTA 6's online mode, Rockstar could consider featuring Olympic Games-like events that bring its community together and make them participate in competitive, albeit, fun challenges.
5) Could act as a nice escape from missions and heists
Grand Theft Auto Online has many missions and heists but only a few pay the best and are worth all the time and effort. This results in the players grinding the same ones over and over, which can eventually become boring.
If the same happens to be the case in GTA 6's multiplayer, then Olympic Games-like events could act as a nice escape from these missions and heists. Players could partake in them to enjoy and relax with other members of the community before heading back into the grind.
