5 reasons why GTA Online on PC should get HSW cars

The PC version of GTA Online is seemingly held back by Rockstar Games for no reason. The studio releases new features and HSW upgradable vehicles on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and adds basic ones to PC. While the community has been asking for Hao’s Special Works Performance Upgrades on PC for years, Rockstar seems to be ignorant of the requests.

With that being said, this article lists five reasons why HSW cars should be added to the GTA Online PC version.

Note: This article is subjective and only reflects the writer’s opinions. The listing is not in any order.

Five reasons why Rockstar Games should add HSW cars in the GTA Online PC version

1) Significant performance boost

All the best HSW cars in GTA Online have a great performance advantage over their regular variants on PC. Hao’s Special Works Performance Upgrades include new tuning features that add an extra bar to measure the performance output. For example, the Bravado Banshee on PC can reach a top speed of only 117.75 mph or 189.50 km/h. However, the same car can touch 153.00 mph or 246.23 km/h on the current-gen consoles.

There is a significant difference between both versions in other performance factors as well. Therefore, Rockstar should add HSW cars to PC.

2) New customization options

The HSW Performance Upgrades can make a regular vehicle one of the most customizable cars in GTA Online. Rockstar Games offers exclusive customizations with it, which only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players get to enjoy. They get exclusive paint jobs, liveries, and many other things that can make any non-beneficiary car enthusiast envy.

While these are visual customizations, HSW upgrades also include under-the-hood mods that make a huge impact on the track. In short, HSW cars are the top-performing cars in GTA Online currently.

3) To revive the racing community

Rockstar Games is seemingly trying to revive the racing community in the decade-old game. The introduction of drift and drag races in GTA Online shows that the studio wants players to continue engaging with the vehicles it offers. However, the lack of HSW cars on PC is a big bummer that should be fixed as soon as possible.

The introduction of HSW cars to the PC version of the multiplayer game will not only rejoice the players but will also boost community-created content. Plus, there are already exclusive races for HSW cars. These races on PC will boost player engagement.

4) Same content for all

Rockstar Games introduced HSW cars as a method to lure players from old-gen consoles to the current-gen. While PC has no such generation issues, the studio did not provide it with the new features. As a result, the PC playerbase has to settle down for basic content, also offered to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Since Rockstar is already rumored to include FiveM on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, which is currently a PC-exclusive thing, it should add HSW cars on GTA Online PC as well to balance things.

5) Expanded and Enhanced version for PC

It has been over two years since the Grand Theft Auto 5 Expanded and Enhanced version, along with the HSW cars, were released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. While the generational progress within consoles is significant, PCs have no such issues. Therefore, there is no solid reason not to add those features to PCs.

Fans have been requesting the GTA Online E&E version on PC for years. If Rockstar wants to bring the HSW cars to PC, it will first have to upgrade the game to the latest version, which is also a great thing.
