5 reasons Nightclubs should return in GTA 6

Among the things featured in the first official GTA 6 trailer was a brief shot of a nightclub. While that could be an accessible interior in the upcoming title's story mode, Rockstar Games should consider adding the Nightclub business in the sequel as well, not unlike in Grand Theft Auto Online. In fact, it is one of the game's best businesses so far.

In this article, we will look at five reasons why Nightclubs should return in Grand Theft Auto 6.

Note - This article is subjective and only reflects the writer's opinions. These entries are arranged in no particular order.

Fitting well with the setting and 4 other reasons why Nightclubs should return in GTA 6

1) It is a fan-favorite business

The Nightclub has the ability to make a lot of money passively. The only requirement is maintaining a high popularity, which can be ensured pretty easily. It generates revenue in tandem with other player-owned GTA Online businesses too, which adds to its advantages.

In short, high money-making potential and ease of operation make the Nightclub a fan favorite. And a business with such qualities could also prove very useful and sought-after in GTA 6.

2) Grounded in reality

The inclusion of sci-fi elements in Grand Theft Auto Online, such as futuristic weapons and vehicles, like the Pegassi Oppressor MK II, a weaponized flying bike, hasn't been extremely popular with the series' fanbase. In fact, many want Rockstar Games to adopt a more grounded approach in the next installment.

So, when it comes to businesses, the Nightclub excels as a realistic criminal-owned establishment as opposed to, say, the Facility or the Bunker, which operate within massive underground properties.

3) Fits well within Vice City

The GTA 6 map will be set in Leonida, a fictional state that will feature Vice City. For those unaware, Vice City is the Grand Theft Auto series' iteration of Miami. Given the atmosphere and nightlife of that location, Nightclubs being a part of its in-game iteration would be well-suited.

So, if there is a business that should return in the next Grand Theft Auto, it's this one. As already mentioned, a nightclub was seen in the title's debut trailer, which might just be an accessible interior. However, given all the reasons so far, it would also be the perfect fit as a business, both in the sequel's story mode and its potential multiplayer.

4) Could give players a way to own the Malibu Club

Grand Theft Auto 4 story mode DLC, The Ballad of Gay Tony, features a nightclub by the name of Maisonette 9. When players buy a Nightclub in GTA Online, one of the names they can choose for it is Maisonette Los Santos.

If Nightclubs return as a business in Grand Theft Auto 6, one might also get an option to "own" the beloved Malibu Club in a similar way. For those unaware, the Malibu Club is a nightclub that appeared in Grand Theft Auto Vice City and is one of the most iconic locations in the series.

5) Could allow for Luis Lopez's return

Luis Lopez, the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto 4: The Ballad of Gay Tony is an interesting character. Unfortunately, since the DLC wasn't that long, it's safe to say that he hasn't enjoyed much screen time as a Grand Theft Auto protagonist.

However, Luis' charismatic persona has a section of the series' fanbase wanting to see more. And if Nightclubs return in GTA 6, Rockstar could reintroduce the character as well, just like how Tony Prince returned as part of this business in Grand Theft Auto Online.

As of writing, it remains unclear which businesses will be featured in Grand Theft Auto 6. But the Nightclub seems like a candidate worthy of a return due to the aforementioned reasons.
