5 subtle details GTA 6 should re-capture in Vice City
Rockstar Games is often praised for implementing subtle details in its games, and now, fans expect GTA 6 to do the same with the new Vice City. This could range from a bus driver side mission, the beach ball minigame, movie references, and Easter eggs. All of this existed in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which was released back in 2002.
The best way to pay homage to this Grand Theft Auto 3D Universe classic is to include and refine these elements in the HD Universe rendition of Vice City. With that in mind, here are some details from this fictional version of Miami that Rockstar should bring back in GTA 6.

Small details from Vice City that should return in GTA 6
1) Bus driver side mission
Grand Theft Auto games, especially those from the 3D Universe GTA Trilogy, have featured several vehicle-based side missions, such as Vigilante, Paramedic, Firetruck, Taxi Driver, and even Burglary. All of these require a specific type of vehicle to start them, such as a police or law enforcement vehicle for Vigilante missions, or a taxi for Taxi Driver.
Vice City had a unique vehicular side mission that seemed to have been added at the last minute or probably left in a half-finished state: the Bus driver minigame. If you get in a Coach in the game and decide to stop at every bus stop along the way, you'll notice some passengers getting in. You'll get a $5 bonus per passenger, but funnily enough, these NPCs never get out.
This is a subtle detail not all players know about. Rockstar can finally make a playable bus driver side mission in GTA 6, where you can drive along major routes and earn money.
2) Pizza Boy
Just like the bus driver minigame, Pizza Boy is another unique vehicle-based side mission in Grand Theft Auto Vice City. Here, you drive a pizza delivery scooter and deliver pizzas across the Town. You'll occasionally have to return to the pizza parlor for a new set of orders. This mission was reintroduced in Liberty City Stories, where it's called Well Snacked Pizza.
Grand Theft Auto Online is bringing back the Pizza Boy scooter, which could be a hint to this side mission returning in GTA 6. This will serve as a small but essential detail that should liven up the game world.
3) Beach ball minigame
The Keepie-Uppy Beach Ball is a well-hidden minigame in Vice City where you have to bounce a beach ball on Tommy's head. In the PS4 and Definitive Edition of the game, you'll get the Keepy-Uppy Okie Dokie trophy if you can bounce this ball five times. Just remember that the score count ends when the ball hits the floor.
GTA 6 should consider bringing this tiny minigame back, as it's a fun way to pay homage to the original Vice City map.
4) Scarface references
Vice City was heavily influenced by the 1983 hit film Scarface, something that Rockstar doesn't try to hide. There are several references to the movie throughout the story, with the last mission being the most iconic one. It almost seems like an alternative ending to the movie, except that the protagonist lives.
Another memorable Scarface Easter egg is Apartment 3C, which is a nod to the notorious chainsaw scene in the movie. Rockstar should bring these back to GTA 6, as it would make the open-world game fascinating to explore.
5) Tommy's mansion
The GTA 6 trailer seemed to have revealed that the game will feature a location based on the Venetian Islands in Miami, Florida. The original Vice City had one such island, which was based on Star Island. This is where Diaz has his mansion, and after killing him, Tommy takes over it.
This lavish mansion is another major reference to Scarface since Tony Montana's mansion seen in the movie had a similar design. Many fans are hoping for this building to return in the new game, as it would serve as the perfect tribute to Tommy Vercetti.
