5 things not to buy in GTA Online this week (August 8 to 14, 2024)
A new GTA Online weekly update went live earlier today and it will be active through August 14, 2024. As is the case every week, some interesting bonuses as well as discounts on certain vehicles have been made available. The latter might nudge you toward making some fresh additions to your in-game vehicular collection, but not every commodity available is worth getting, even on a discount.
You can consider buying them if you have a lot of cash and want to own every ride in the game, but they don't make much sense from a value-for-money standpoint. So, let's take a look at five things not to buy in Grand Theft Auto Online this week.

Vapid Police Stanier LE Cruiser and 4 other things not to buy this week in GTA Online (August 8 - 14, 2024)
1) Declasse Drift Yosemite
Declasse Drift Yosemite is a pick-up truck that debuted in early 2020. This vehicle seems to be based on the Chevrolet C10, and while it isn't very fast, compatibility with the Drift Tuning modification is its main selling point.
That being said, you should avoid buying a Drift Yosemite this week for its $1,308,000 full price or even its $981,000 Trade Price. This is because the car has been made this week's GTA Online Podium Vehicle, meaning that you can try and win it for free.
2) Vapid Dominator GTX
Vapid Dominator GTX is a Muscle Car that was introduced back in May 2018. It has a stylish aggressive design, that looks to be a combination of the 2015 Ford Mustang, seventh-generation Dodge Charger, 2016 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and the Ford Mustang GTT.
Dominator GTX's performance isn't very impressive, but it is rather cheap, costing just $725,000. However, the car will be rewarded to you for free if you manage to win it as this week's LS Car Meet Prize Ride. In short, don't spend any cash on the car this week and try to win it for free instead.
3) Vapid Stanier LE Cruiser
The Vapid Stanier LE Cruiser is a police car that you can buy to play Dispatch Work missions in GTA Online. This law enforcement vehicle usually costs a hefty $4,690,000 and has a $3,517,500 Trade Price. It has been discounted by 30% in this GTA Online weekly update, but is still super expensive.
Additionally, there are more interesting police cars to choose from than the Stanier LE Cruiser, such as the Gauntlet Interceptor, Greenwood Cruiser, or even the Vapid Dominator FX Interceptor.
4) Ocelot XA-21
Ocelot XA-21 is a Super Car and it has also been discounted by 30% this week ($2,375,000 full price). It should be noted that this is a removed car that has been made available again temporarily in GTA Online through August 14, 2024, just like the Annis Savestra.
The XA-21 looks nice and has a good top speed as well; however, it's nothing special. So, spending millions over it doesn't make much sense, especially if you want a value-for-money deal.
Some of the recently added GTA Online cars like the Annis Euros X32, Ubermacht Niobe, or the Enus Paragon S cost within a similar range and offer good performance along with Imani Tech or HSW compatibility.
5) Bravado Youga Classic 4x4
The Bravado Youga Classic is a van that looks somewhat unique. This is a custom vehicle and you will have to buy a standard Youga Classic and then spend an additional $1,288,000 to customize it into the 4x4 variant.
This cost has been discounted by 30% in this GTA Online weekly update, but you should still avoid getting this vehicle. That's because, besides its appearance, there's not much to the Youga Classic 4x4. It's not fast and doesn't boast any stand-out features, which fails to justify the vehicle's cost.
