5 things you can do in GTA Vice City but not in GTA 5
There are several things you can do in GTA Vice City that are not possible in GTA 5. Now, these differences are quite expected, of course. Vice City is a 3D Universe game from 2002 using the Renderware engine, while Grand Theft Auto 5 is an HD Universe title from 2013 that runs on the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine (RAGE).
For instance, you can't visit a mall in Grand Theft Auto 5 or listen to 80s radio stations. As such, we've compiled a list of things that are possible in GTA Vice City but not in GTA 5.

Unique things possible in GTA Vice City but not in GTA 5
1) Hilarious glitch involving motorbikes
Unlike GTA 5, you can't customize your clothing in GTA Vice City. The game has several unlockable pickups from where you can equip a particular outfit. For instance, there's a Soiree outfit, a Country Club outfit, a Cop outfit, and so on. Now, get to one such location with a motorcycle, and keep it aligned in such a way that the bike is almost over the pickup.
Once you exit the motorcycle and hop back in, Tommy should transition to the new clothes. However, a side effect of this is that you will be stuck inside the motorbike. From this point onwards, walking would essentially be the same as riding a bike. This hilarious glitch isn't possible in Grand Theft Auto 5.
2) Listening to 80s radio stations
GTA 5 was set in 2013, whereas GTA Vice City was set in 1986. The radio stations in Vice City all play 80s music, and this is a major reason why the game is a nostalgic trip for many players. Grand Theft Auto 5 does have some hits from the 80s, like in Los Santos Rock Radio and Non-Stop-Pop FM. However, the stations have a mix of songs from various timelines, so there are no 80s-themed ones.
3) Pizza Boy missions
Pizza Boy is a series of side missions in GTA Vice City that work like any other vehicle-based mission. You can start these after hopping on a Pizza Boy delivery scooter, and as expected, the missions involve delivering pizzas to customers all around Vice City. During these missions, your drive-by weapons are disabled and replaced with the ability to throw pizzas instead.
After every delivery mission, you must return to the Well Snacked Pizza parlor for the next set. Completing all missions (level 10) gives you a bonus health award. GTA 5 has no such missions, although Rockstar has brought back the Pizza Boy in Grand Theft Auto Online, along with the related delivery missions.
4) Visit a mall
Unlike in GTA Vice City, you can't enter a mall in GTA 5. The fact that this seemingly simple feature is missing in the HD Universe title has perplexed many fans since its release. They've complained about the lack of open explorable interiors in the game, and despite Los Santos having several malls, none of them can be explored.
The North Point Mall in Vice City, on the other hand, has a fully explorable interior, along with several usable stores. There are even missions that take place here, and you can drive vehicles inside. The popularity of this mall has even led to two different vaporwave albums based on it.
5) Own a movie studio
GTA 5 takes place in LA (Los Santos in this instance), features Hollywood (Vinewood), and the main plot even involves a movie premiere. However, you can't own a movie studio like in GTA Vice City. The older game has a television/movie studio called InterGlobal Studios that Tommy Vercetti can purchase during the course of the plot.
You can explore some interesting movie sets here, such as one featuring battleships, a moon landing set, and more. The studio in Grand Theft Auto 5 features a small European town instead, which isn't nearly as exciting.
