5 things that can ruin the GTA Online experience if added

GTA Online has been a source of entertainment for the community for around a decade now. Over the years, Rockstar Games has added and removed numerous things to either balance the game or make it more interesting for players. However, the studio has made several bad decisions in the past that almost ruined the overall experience.

Below, we have listed five things that can potentially ruin the same if added to the online multiplayer mode.

5 things that Rockstar should avoid adding in GTA Online

1) More vehicles like the Oppressor MKII

Literally why does the Oppressor MkII exist?

The Oppressor MKII is an overpowered flying motorcycle in GTA Online. While the idea may have seemed impressive on paper, the vehicle single-handedly ruined the online multiplayer mode for many players. This is mainly because it is pesky, can fly, and has Homing Missiles making it the favorite vehicle of griefers in the game.

As such, Rockstar Games should avoid adding any more similar vehicles. While vehicles like the Vapid Dominator FX are grounded in reality and offer decent performance, sci-fi vehicles look out of place and take away from the realistic aspect of the game.

2) A business that pays too much money with little effort

Earning money is a crucial aspect of GTA Online. Players scramble around investing in various businesses to create a steady flow of cash that allows them to purchase things like cars and weapons in the game. However, most of the businesses do not offer a huge chunk of cash.

Players are required to put in the effort to earn the money. Hence, adding an extremely high-paying business that requires little effort to set up and start running would tarnish the overall experience. It would break the game's economy and render other businesses useless since nobody would want to put in the enormous effort to stock and run them.

3) Overpowered weapons that turn the tables immediately

While there is no shortage of extremely powerful weapons in the game, they typically come with drawbacks in fire rate or range. This maintains the balance of the game and allows everybody to enjoy it without feeling threatened. However, if Rockstar Games decided to add a ridiculously overpowered weapon without any drawbacks, it would surely ruin the experience.

Not only would it render most of the missions useless, but the PvP meta of the online multiplayer mode would change forever for the worse. Players carrying the overpowered weapon would dominate the lobbies and not allow new players to thrive. Hence, it is best to maintain the weapon roster at its current balance.

4) An ability that lets players fly

While some amazing mods let players fly around in GTA 5, taking flight in GTA Online is only possible with an aircraft or vehicle like Oppressor MKII. Rockstar Games should leave this as it is and not add any ability that lets players fly around without such support.

Since many missions in the game, like the GTA Online Pizza Delivery, are time-consuming, adding the ability to fly may shorten the time but also take away the fun from the tasks. Keeping this in mind, the developers should keep the gameplay realistic and not add such an ability.

5) Boss fights like other RPGs

Most role-playing games usually have players fighting a mob and then facing the main boss. While this formula works in those settings, it will ruin the online multiplayer mode if Rockstar Games decides to add something like that to GTA Online.

This is mainly because this formula typically has the mobs respawn each time you die before finishing off the main boss and can turn the game into a grind-fest nightmare. Nobody would enjoy riding their Pegassi Pizza Boy and keep grinding against a boss when there are other fun things to do in the game.
