5 things not needed in GTA Online to become rich

Becoming rich in GTA Online is one of the main goals. Rockstar Games offers a plethora of ways through which players can earn money. However, the studio does not explicitly tell you what to do as it expects you to make your path. Nowadays, most players seek help for money-grinding methods from external sources. However, some also make silly mistakes that technically hampers the progress, rather than boosting it.

As a result, the path to richness becomes somewhat less exciting and lengthy. With that being said, this article lists five things that you don’t need in GTA Online to become rich.

Note: This article is subjective and only reflects the writer’s opinions. The listing is not in any order.

5 things players don’t need in GTA Online to become rich in 2024

1) Shark Cards

Cash Cards of Shark Cards in GTA Online are a very controversial thing. While most of the players despise them, a significant majority buy them frequently. It is one of the main reasons why these cards continue to sell despite years of criticism. The Shark Cards can technically make you a millionaire within a few minutes. However, it kills the very essence of the game.

If you are a casual player who hops into the game to check out the new clothes and cars, then buying Shark Cards is somewhat justifiable. However, regular grinders don’t need a Shark Card to become rich. Rockstar offers enough money-making sources that can make you a millionaire within a few days.

2) GTA Plus membership

The GTA Plus membership in GTA Online goes in the same line with Shark Cards. Rockstar Games offers it exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S members promising various in-game and external benefits. While the external benefits are considerable, the in-game benefits are not worth paying with real-life money.

The OG GTA Online players became rich without any paid subscriptions. Nowadays, there are more money-making methods than before. Therefore, you can also grind properly and become rich in-game without spending any real-life money.

3) Yachts

While Rockstar Games promotes Yachts as a symbol of richness and luxury, they are one of the most useless things in GTA Online. Despite being a vehicle, Yachts act as a property on water. Moreover, you cannot drive it like other vehicles. To move the Yacht, you’ll have to pay a significant amount to your Captain. After that, the game will play a small cutscene, following which you’ll spawn at the selected destination.

A fully modified Yacht will cost you nearly $10 million. The contact missions available on the Yacht are also mediocre. While they are fun to play, you’ll have to repeatedly grind them for weeks to recover the invested money.

4) Aircrafts

This is a tricky one as you’ll have to know which kind of aircraft are not needed to become rich in GTA Online. The Sparrow and Buzzard Attack Chopper, which are some of the best helicopters in GTA Online, are very useful for the grind. But, other aircraft such as Bombushka and Luxor Deluxe are not worth the investment.

Moreover, you’ll need a runway to take off and land the planes. This limits their usability as the helicopters can be flown from any location on the map. Moreover, the aforementioned helicopters can be spawned closer, allowing you to make the grind faster.

5) Latest vehicles

Buying the latest vehicles in GTA Online should be a goal when you become rich in the game. However, while in the grinding process, you should not buy every new vehicle that comes out. Players can continue using their old vehicles to make money.

Most vehicles do not have any direct links with making money in Grand Theft Auto Online. Therefore, you should spend your money wisely.
