5 things only solo GTA Online players can relate to

Solo GTA Online players struggle with various aspects of the game but get some advantages in others. For instance, they're easy to target, but they don't have to share any loot they acquire. Anyone who enjoys the game alongside their friends or others will not understand what those who play alone go through.

With that in mind, this article will list five things every solo player experiences in the game.

Note: The article is subjective and solely based on the writer's opinion.

5 things solo GTA Online players face in the game

1) Being easy targets for griefers

Griefers are the bane of solo GTA Online players in public lobbies. Since gamers who play alone don't have anyone else backing them up, these pesky menaces can keep killing them without consequences. New solo players struggle the most against griefers since they are usually low level and lack decent weapons as well as protective gear.

Griefers are among the worst things gamers who play alone struggle with, and those who play with others cannot relate to this. Being part of a team gives you much more freedom to explore lobbies, as your friends have your back. After all, taking out a pesky Oppressor MKII griefer becomes extremely easy, with multiple players targeting the flying motorcycle.

2) Having to wait longer when joining a lobby

Another advantage teams have over solo GTA Online players is that they don't have to wait long to join a lobby. Those who play alone must wait for others to fill the gaps before the title lets them hop into a lobby and explore the map. This is true for various missions and races in the game as well.

On the other hand, gamers running with a team don't usually face this issue since they almost always have the required number of players to enter and join a lobby.

3) Random beginners joining your team

Various missions in Grand Theft Auto 5's online multiplayer mode are quite challenging for solo players. Hence, they must join others to complete these objectives and move forward.

However, solo players often end up with noobs or incompetent gamers that have no idea what they're doing. Sometimes, toxic players also join the party, ruining the overall experience for everybody on the team. This is another struggle solo players often face. Unfortunately, finding good players to partner up with is purely dependent on luck.

4) Unable to complete some objectives

Certain tasks and missions in GTA Online are simply impossible for solo players to complete. Looting gold bars during the Cayo Perico heist is a prime example of this. The task requires players to press two security buttons simultaneously. As such, this cannot be achieved by solo GTA Online players. Hence, they miss out on major loot during the heist.

Running Cayo Perico with other random players also doesn't guarantee that they'll follow instructions and help you out in such instances.

5) Getting bored playing alone

While playing the game solo might not always be very difficult, it can quickly get boring. This is mainly because the title is designed to be played as part of a team and offers the most excitement that way.

Solo GTA Online players often leave the sessions because they can't find competent teammates to enjoy everything that the online multiplayer mode has to offer.

You can keep running business buy and sell missions in private lobbies, but dealing with griefers and other players in a public lobby is the most fun. However, the excitement only lasts if you have a backup and your friends supporting you. This is something only solo players can relate to.
