5 of the wildest GTA 6 rumored features that are unlikely to be true

There have been countless GTA 6 rumored features, some of which seem highly unlikely to come true. For instance, the rumors about the upcoming game having football and basketball, 70% enterable buildings, and realistic vehicle handling seem far-fetched ideas. Not every rumor on the internet is true, as a game like Grand Theft Auto VI is bound to have many baseless rumors floating around.

So, we've highlighted five of the wildest GTA 6 rumored features so far that the game is unlikely to incorporate.

The wildest GTA 6 rumored features which can't be true

1) Football and Basketball

Some of the most prominent GTA 6 rumored features are football and basketball. Many fans believe the upcoming game will make these sports playable, and that there will even be several stadiums based on real-life ones. While the inclusion of stadiums makes sense, Rockstar is unlikely to add fully fleshed-out basketball or football mechanics.

While Basketball is a possibility, since it was already present in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, it's likely going to be a much more small-scale activity. For instance, it might be a 3v3 sport or even a 1v1 challenge, like how it was originally intended in San Andreas. Football will probably not be included at all, as it would require a lot more resources.

2) Ethnically or politically oriented gangs

As Grand Theft Auto 6 is returning to Vice City, many expect some of the Vice City gangs like The Cubans and The Haitians to return. However, it should be noted that there has been a lot of controversy surrounding their inclusion in the previous games. After a Haitian-American organization was offended by their inclusion, Rockstar changed some subtitles to refer to the Haitians as just gangsters.

In Vice City Stories, they were entirely replaced by the Mexican-American Cholos. There were also rumors about a "Far Right Militia" being in the game. Rockstar is unlikely to feature any gangs based entirely on ethnicity or political orientation. While the developer is renowned for making satirical representations of real-life gangs and groups, this will likely be a bit more generic in the final game.

As such, this is one of those GTA 6 rumored features that will likely be false.

3) 70% of buildings being accessible

Fans want Rockstar to have more enterable buildings in Grand Theft Auto 6 compared to its predecessors. One of the many GTA 6 rumored features is that 70% of the buildings in the upcoming game will be accessible. While there have been rumors of Rockstar using AI-based procedural generation to incorporate a large number of enterable buildings, having too many such structures is a tall order.

San Andreas also allows you to enter almost every residential house in the game with the Burglary side missions. Grand Theft Auto 6 might have something similar, thanks to procedural generation. However, it's still unlikely to make so many of them enterable.

4) Realistic vehicle handling

Fans want vehicle handling to be vastly improved in the next game, but it's unlikely to be as realistic as Grand Theft Auto 4, or simulation racing games. Vehicle handling significantly declined in Grand Theft Auto 5, so it's no wonder that one of the many GTA 6 rumored features is an improved handling model for all drivable vehicles. A likely scenario is a mix between the realism of GTA 4 and the arcade-like handling of GTA 5.

5) Large-scale destruction

Grand Theft Auto games have always boasted detailed and interesting open-world maps with tons of locations to explore. However, these locations have seldom featured destruction physics. While vehicle deformation was pretty advanced in Grand Theft Auto 4, the concrete structures of Liberty City can't be harmed in any way.

There are a few wooden structures that can be blown up, but that's it. GTA 6 is unlikely to have any large-scale destruction akin to Just Cause or the Red Faction series. As such, this is yet another GTA 6 rumored feature that might be false.
