All GTA 5 Nuclear Waste locations

GTA 5 Nuclear Waste locations are spread across the perimeter of the map of Los Santos and Blaine County. Each of them is underwater and hence, a special vehicle is required to reach them. This, in turn, must be unlocked by purchasing a specific property that costs a lot. Therefore, it is best to undertake this task after completing the main story, as the protagonists should have a lot of money by then.

All things considered, there is a noteworthy monetary reward for collecting all Nuclear Waste barrels. With that said, let's take a look at all Nuclear Waste locations in Grand Theft Auto 5 and everything else to know about this collectible.

You must first purchase the Sonar Collections Dock for $250,000 to unlock the Nuclear Waste collection quest in GTA 5. The property is located in Paleto Cove, and gets unlocked after The Merryweather Heist. Buying the dock rewards a Submersible, which will help in collecting all Nuclear Waste barrels.

The Sonar Collections Dock can be purchased by any of the three protagonists, that is Michael De Santa, Trevor Philips, or Franklin Clinton. Once bought, the Submersible should be available at the property's dock.

Upon spotting a barrel on the ocean floor, you can either collect it by going close with the Submersible, or exiting the vehicle and getting close by swimming. Both methods work, but the latter is better for when the barrel is in a tight spot that could damage the Submersible.

GTA 5 Nuclear Waste locations: payout

Collecting each Nuclear Waste barrel rewards $23,000. You will be rewarded an additional $250,000 upon collecting all 30 barrels, which makes a total reward of $940,000.

Needless you say, you will recoup the Sonar Collections Dock investment by completing this quest, and have plenty to spend on commodities like GTA 5 cars or other properties.
