GTA 5 Murder Mystery: All you need to know
GTA 5 Murder Mystery is quite an intriguing side quest. It can be completed after a certain story mode mission with a specific protagonist. Despite lacking any monetary reward, it is to indulge in if you are looking to do something besides the main campaign. The quest involves hunting down multiple clues across Los Santos, but as their locations are not marked on the map, finding them all without any help can be quite a challenge.
So, in this article, we will look at the GTA 5 Murder Mystery side quest and everything else you should know about it.

The Murder Mystery side quest is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC versions of the game. Just like the GTA 5 Kifflom trophy quest, it also can only be played as Michael De Santa.

You do not need to photograph these messages. Getting close enough will register these clues successfully.
GTA 5 Murder Mystery clue locations: Sunken body
Upon finding these four messages, head off the coast of Los Santos deep into the ocean to find a sunken body. Akin to the messages, this clue will also get registered once you get close enough. Here are its location and what it looks like:
Scuba diving gear is instrumental in finding this clue. You can also use a Submersible to locate it. The vehicle can be obtained by purchasing the Sonar Collections Dock, which is tied to the GTA 5 Nuclear Waste side quest.
Additionally, it is best to look for the body during the day, as visibility underwater diminishes after dark.
GTA 5 Murder Mystery clue locations: Letter
Once the sunken body has been found, head over to Solomon Richard's office in Los Santos and examine a letter on his desk.
Note that you can only enter this location after GTA 5 story mode mission Meltdown, and between 9 pm and 6 am in-game hours. Therefore, it would be good to start this quest after this mission to complete it in one go.
GTA 5 Murder Mystery: Final step and rewards
Upon examining the letter in Solomon Richard's office, head over to the abandoned mine in Great Chapparal, break open its doors using an explosive, and venture some distance inside to find another dead body.
Finding this body will complete the GTA 5 Murder Mystery quest and reward two Vintage screen filters. A new contact by the name of Isaac will be added to all three protagonists' phones, and the rewarded Vintage filters can be accessed by calling him.
