The studio released this update on June 13, 2017, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions of the game. As of now, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players can also enjoy the gameplay content in 2024.

This GTA Online Gunrunning guide will discuss all the important aspects of the DLC and how you can access them. If you have been playing the multiplayer game for a long time, it is highly likely that you have already come through some features from the update.

Note: Some parts of this GTA Online Gunrunning guide are subjective and only reflect the writer’s opinions.

The Grand Theft Auto Online Gunrunning update is mainly known for the addition of military-grade features to the multiplayer game, especially the Bunker business, Mobile Operations Center, and the OG Pegassi Oppressor (the first flying/gliding motorcycle in the game). However, the update was much bigger than most of the DLCs nowadays.

The GTA Online Gunrunning guide will discuss the following things from the June 2017 DLC update:

  • New business and property (Bunker)
  • New vehicles
  • New weapons
  • New missions

Players should note that the DLC contents are already available in their game. So, they do not have to download any additional files to play the Grand Theft Auto Online Gunrunning update.

Rockstar Games added Los Santos Airbase Bunkers to the Maze Bank Foreclosures website with the Gunrunning update. It is one of the best businesses in Grand Theft Auto Online that every player (new and old) must own. Following are the ways through which you can acquire a Bunker in the multiplayer game:

  1. Open the eyefind.info homepage on your in-game phone or laptop.
  2. The Maze Bank Foreclosures website should appear on the top. If not, click on the Money and Services tab and select Maze Bank Foreclosures from the list.
  3. Select the Bunker option on the top right corner to filter out all the Bunker locations.
  4. Click on your preferred Bunker location on the map.
  5. Go through the customization options and select the features you want inside your Bunker.
  6. Click on Buy to complete the purchase.

The GTA Online Gunrunning guide readers should note that Rockstar Games offers the following locations to set up the Bunker business:

  • Paleto Forest Bunker - $1,165,000
  • Raton Canyon Bunker - $1,450,000
  • Lago Zancudo Bunker - $1,550,000
  • Chumash Bunker - $1,650,000
  • Grapeseed Bunker - $1,750,000
  • Route 68 Bunker - $1,950,000
  • Grand Senora Oilfields Bunker - $2,035,000
  • Grand Senora Desert Bunker - $2,120,000
  • Smoke Tree Road Bunker - $2,205,000
  • Thomson Scrapyard Bunker - $2,290,000
  • Farmhouse Bunker - $2,375,000

It is an expensive business that requires a significant investment to get started with. If you are low on money, you can check out the GTA 5 money guide to become a millionaire quickly. PC, PS4, and Xbox One players (who have the Criminal Enterprises Starter Pack) can also get the Paleto Forest Bunker for free. However, it is not recommended as the location is too far away from the mainland.

Once you have purchased the Bunker, visit it to go through the initial cutscene and introduction process and to finish the setup.

The Los Santos Airbase Bunker primarily deals in weapons and ammo. Your job is to produce illegal weapons inside the business and supply them to various buyers. There are two ways through which you can make money: Weapons Supply and Ammu-Nation Contract. The GTA Online Gunrunning guide will discuss the Weapons Supply part first as it is the primary income source.

The weapons supply or the gunrunning part of the Bunker is a passive business where the products and profits are generated in the background. Your job is to keep your Bunker supplies always stocked so that the staff is always engaged in converting them to weapons and ammo. It is worth noting that the Bunker staff can be assigned to the following three jobs:

  • Weapons manufacturing
  • Research on weapons
  • Do both simultaneously

If you want to make the most money from the Bunker business, the GTA Online Gunrunning guide advises you to assign your staff only to manufacturing. The research feature is also beneficial (for personal quality-of-life upgrades) as it unlocks the following things:

  • APC SAM Battery
  • Ballistic Equipment
  • Half-track 20mm Quad Autocannon
  • Weaponized Tampa Dual Remote Minigun
  • Weaponized Tampa Rear-Firing Mortar
  • Weaponized Tampa Front Missile Launchers
  • Weaponized Tampa Heavy Chassis Armor
  • Dune FAV 40mm Grenade Launcher
  • Dune FAV 7.62mm Minigun
  • Insurgent Pick-Up Custom .50 Cal Minigun
  • Insurgent Pick-Up Custom Heavy Armor Plating
  • Technical Custom 7.62mm Minigun
  • Technical Custom Ram-bar

  • Technical Custom Heavy Chassis Armor
  • Oppressor Missile Launchers

  • Digital Livery Set
  • Geometric Livery Set
  • Nature Reserve Livery Set
  • Naval Battle Livery Set
  • Anti-Aircraft Trailer Dual 20mm Flak
  • Anti-Aircraft Trailer Homing Missile Battery
  • Mobile Operations Center Rear Turrets
  • Incendiary Rounds
  • Hollow Point Rounds
  • Armor Piercing Rounds
  • Full Metal Jacket Rounds
  • Explosive Rounds
  • Pistol Mk II Mounted Scope
  • Pistol Mk II Compensator
  • SMG Mk II Holographic Sight
  • SMG Mk II Heavy Barrel
  • Heavy Sniper Mk II Night Vision Scope
  • Heavy Sniper Mk II Thermal Scope
  • Heavy Sniper Mk II Heavy Barrel

The Ammu-Nation Contract is the secondary option to make money from the Bunker business. You will occasionally find a Bravado Duneloader stocked with extra weapon supplies produced by your Bunker. Deliver the truck to the assigned Ammu-Nation store to make a solid $50,000.

GTA Online Gunrunning guide readers should note that the Ammu-Nation Contract does not affect the profits from your Bunker. These are extra supplies that add no value to the main stock. For a more detailed analysis of the Bunker business operations, you can check out the Grand Theft Auto 5 Bunker guide.

  • Karin Technical Custom: Karin Technical price + $142,500 (Upgrade Cost)
  • Nagasaki Caddy: $120,000

The MOC is undoubtedly the most important vehicle from this DLC as it offers multiple features. However, readers should note that they must first own a Bunker to store the vehicle. Another important thing is that the MOC trailer alone is not very functional. Therefore, it must be purchased with either the JoBuilt Hauler Custom or JoBuilt Phantom Custom truck cab.

The Grand Theft Auto Online Gunrunning DLC update also added a handful of new missions that players can still enjoy. These missions can be divided into the following two categories:

  • Mobile Operations Center missions
  • Bunker Series Adversary Modes

The Mobile Operations Center missions require you to own the said vehicle in Grand Theft Auto Online. These missions are provided by Agent 14 and are available at the console inside the vehicle. Rockstar Games included the following eight missions:

  1. Severe Weather Patterns
  2. Half-track Bully
  3. Exit Strategy
  4. Offshore Assets
  5. Cover Blown
  6. Mole Hunt
  7. Data Breach
  8. Work Dispute

GTA Online Gunrunning guide readers must note that none of these missions can be played solo. You must have at least one more player under your organization to start the missions. But before that, you must unlock them on the console. The Mobile Operations Center missions get unlocked based on the number of resupply missions you have completed for the Bunker.

Here is an overview of the missions and their unlock conditions:

  1. Severe Weather Patterns: Two Resupply Mission
  2. Half-track Bully: Four Resupply Missions
  3. Exit Strategy: Six Resupply Missions
  4. Offshore Assets: Eight Resupply Missions
  5. Cover Blown: 10 Resupply Missions
  6. Mole Hunt: 12 Resupply Missions
  7. Data Breach: 14 Resupply Missions
  8. Work Dispute: Complete the Data Breach Mission

There are seven Bunker Series Adversary Modes. They are as follows:

  • Bunker - Every Bullet Counts
  • Bunker - Juggernaut
  • Bunker - Kill Quota
  • Bunker - Resurrection
  • Bunker - Slasher
  • Bunker - Till Death Do Us Part
  • Bunker - Trading Places

The GTA Online Gunrunning guide readers should note that these Adversary missions take place inside different Bunkers.

Additionally, you can also play various supply and sell missions related to Bunker business operations. Agent 14 also provides Bunker Research missions that boost the progress of research inside your property.

The Bunker or the Gunrunning business is considered to be one of the most reliable businesses for all tiers of players. Most of the things from the June 2017 DLC are related to this business. Therefore, it is very important to own and fully upgrade it as soon as possible.

The other things added with the update (such as weapons and vehicles) are also useful in the current gameplay scenario. The Mk II weapons are a must if you frequently engage in combat missions and the military-grade vehicles protect you from unwanted enemies.

Therefore, utilizing the features from the Gunrunning DLC is very important. This GTA Online Gunrunning guide highlights all the important factors and features from the update. You can get fully prepared for any future DLCs by following them.
