"I don't regret ever buying this flyswatter": GTA Online players show great respect for this vehicle

In the past 12 years, GTA Online has added hundreds of new vehicles, giving players a plethora of choices when purchasing a new automobile. It’s now 2024, and the game has received new cars like the Canis Castigator, and yet some fans love certain ones that made a huge impact in the game upon their arrival. One such vehicle is the Pegassi Toreador, a four-seater Sports Classics car that debuted in 2020 with The Cayo Perico Heist update.

A player, u/AVGwar, shared a post on Reddit on July 21, 2024, showing great admiration for the Toreador by stating:

“I don't regret ever buying this flyswatter.”

When u/wyattyouthman123YT asked why it’s called a flyswatter, here’s what/AVGwar replied with:

“Oppressor MkIIs are often referred to as "flies" or "mosquitoes" and the Toreador, among other vehicles like the Deluxo, Ruiner 2000, Scramjet have the best tracking missles that the MkII has very little hope of dodging.”

They are not the only ones as other players showed the same level of respect for the Toreador, as suggested by their comments:

While the first three reactions by fans show their love for the car, the last seems to appreciate the "flyswatter" title for it.

Despite the new entry with the latest GTA Online weekly update, the Pegassi Toreador appears to remain popular among the fanbase.

Everything to know about Pegassi Toreador in GTA Online

The Pegassi Toreador is a one-of-a-kind amphibious sports vehicle in GTA Online. It has seemingly derived design inspiration from various real-life models, including:

  • Lamborghini Marzal: Overall design
  • Lamborghini Urraco: Rear fascia and louvers
  • Lamborghini Espada: Lower part of the ride, and door handles
  • Aston Martin Bulldog: Rear and front bumpers
  • BMW 2200 TI Garmisch concept: Headlights
  • Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT: Tail lights

Overall the vehicle’s design has a 1960s flair to it, making it a must-own for classic car lovers. On the performance front, it possesses a top speed of 135.25 mph (217.66 km/h) and completes a lap in just 0:57.601, making it one of the fastest cars in GTA Online in the Sports Classics category.

The vehicle comes with two driving modes:

1) Car Mode

In car mode, it shows fair handling along with impressive speed. While it drives almost similar to other land automobiles, the Toreador won’t fail when entering water in car mode, unless the driver's door is broken off. It also comes with shatterproof windows.

2) Submarine Mode

Players can quickly change the driving mode from car to submarine by holding the right D-Pad button/H key on the PC. This mode allows them to explore the depth of the oceans like any other submersible in the game.

The Pegassi Toreador is purchasable from the Warstock Cache & Carry website for $4,250,000.
