"It's like the oppressor mk2 but with extra protection": GTA Online players share strong opinions on popular car
In the last decade, GTA Online players have seen a lot of cars being added to the game, filling the world of Los Santos with a lot of unique automobiles. Fast forward to today, Grand Theft Auto Online has hundreds of vehicles available to purchase, yet few of them hold a special place in the hearts of many. One such ride is the Imponte Deluxo, a two-seater Sports Classics car that can fly.
A player on Reddit, u/HeyItsMeHitScrit, started a discussion on the popular social media platform asking fans about their opinions on the Deluxo.
u/Bullypunch compared the Deluxo with another GTA Online vehicle, the Oppressor Mk II, in the following manner:
“Great for contact missions, it's like the oppressor mk2 but with extra protection from bullets, especially those aimbot npcs.”
The gamer seemingly compared Deluxo with the Oppressor Mk II due to the fact both can fly and shoot weapons. However, the car gives better protection from bullets than the bike.
Another fan, u/Crafty_Ad1356, shared their wish to get a non-weaponized or non-flying version of GTA Online’s popular vehicle as they think “it’s a neat car”:
Here are some other reactions made by fans on HeyItsMeHitScrit’s post, where the first four cite different reasons why some love to own the ride. However, the comment from u/giakider claims that the downfall of GTA Online public lobbies started with its debut:
Despite Rockstar recently adding the brand new Canis Castigator in Los Santos, the Deluxo remains quite controversial among the fanbase.

Everything to know about Imponte Deluxo in GTA Online
The Imponte Deluxo was added to GTA Online in 2017 with the popular The Doomsday Heist update. The car has seemingly taken inspiration from the following real-life automobiles:
- DMC DeLorean – Overall design inspiration
- 1987–1988 Pontiac 6000/Volkswagen Corrado – Front fascia
- Nissan 300ZX (Z31) – Tail lights
- 1st-generation Isuzu Piazza/Lancia Montecarlo – Small styling cues
The vehicle’s ability to fly makes it look like the fictional car from the Back to the Future movie series.
According to popular analyst, Broughy1322, the Imponte Deluxo can reach a maximum speed of 127.25 mph (204.79 km/h) and complete one lap in 1:07.369, making it one of the best Sports Classics cars in the game.
The ride has two different modes:
1) Car Mode:
In the normal car mode, the Deluxo gives a decent performance as mentioned above. Players might experience a bit of oversteer while taking turns at medium speeds, however, it can be dealt with practice.
2) Flyer/Hover mode:
Like the Oppressor Mk II, the sports car comes with a flyer mode where players can fly this thing into the skies of Los Santos. This allows them to traverse the map easily, including the water bodies. The best part about its flying mode is the ability to take quick turns with it.
The Imponte car is available from Warstock Cache & Carry for $5,750,000-$4,312,500.
