Gamescom about to get GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 actors as host

Ned Luke, who played Michael De Santa in GTA 5, and Alex McKenna, the voice of Sadie Adler in Red Dead Redemption 2, have been announced as hosts of Gamescom's Future Games Show for this year. The showcase event will be held on August 21, 2024, and exhibit some upcoming games. A trailer for the event featuring the two actors can be viewed on Future Games Show's official YouTube channel - FGS.

Those interested can also set a reminder on YouTube to be notified when the event goes live in a few weeks. Some of the titles that will be showcased at this year's Future Games Show were named in the said trailer. However, GTA 6, Rockstar Games' highly anticipated upcoming release, was not among them.

Michael De Santa and Sadie Adler are two popular Rockstar Games characters. While the two appear in different titles, fans can watch these actors host this year's Future Games Show together on August 21, 2024, at 10 pm CEST.

Among the upcoming titles that will be showcased are Greed Fall 2: The Dying World, Spine, Exoborne, and Civilization 7. These were revealed by the two actors in the aforementioned trailer.

Ned Luke even delivered a Future Games Show rendition of Michael De Santa's famous dialogue from GTA 5 story mode:

"Hey, you forget a thousand things every day pal, make sure the Future Games Show isn't one of them"

As already stated, there was no mention of Grand Theft Auto 6 in this trailer. Rockstar also usually skips such events, so it is unlikely that anything about its upcoming title will be showcased on August 21.

While a second Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer is expected to drop sometime this year, that might happen in November or December, based on Rockstar's previous marketing patterns. The studio's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, is also going to hold an earnings call in a couple of days, so some information on the Grand Theft Auto sequel might be dropped around it, but that remains to be seen.
