As visible above, Obbe Vermeij praised the GTA 3 Sega Dreamcast project by fans, saying that it’s an “impressive effort” to make it possible:

“There is an impressive effort going on to make gta3 run on the Sega Dreamcast.”

They further shared that Rockstar Games first started developing GTA 3 on Sega Dreamcast for the first few months, but later switched to PS2 for commercial reasons. They also stated:

“At the time we did think it was technically possible to pull it off on the DC and these guys are actually doing it. Nice one.”

A fan commented on their post, asking about the possibility of running Vice City on Sega Dreamcast. Many might not know, but Grand Theft Auto Vice City uses an updated version of the same engine used in the Grand Theft Auto 3.

Obbe Vermeij replied to their query in the following manner, admitting that the Vice City could also run on Sega Dreamcast:

“If they can get gta3 to work I'm sure they can do the same with Vice City. They're basically the same game.”
