GTA 5 devs redesign the Rockstar Games Launcher's storefront, giving Bully the spotlight
It looks like GTA 5 developer Rockstar Games has changed the storefront of the Rockstar Games Launcher on PC. The application now shows Bully as one of the top video games in the Featured section. The change comes as a surprise for fans as the title was released nearly two decades ago in 2006. After the release of Grand Theft Auto 5, the studio was never seen actively promoting Bully until now.
While fans have started to speculate many things related to this change, Rockstar Games remains silent on the matter.
Fans believe GTA 5 developer Rockstar Games' decision to feature Bully as among its top video games suggests something new is coming from the studio
While it is unknown when the change took place, fans of the Grand Theft Auto series began noticing it on July 11, 2024. In the above image shared by Rockstar insider Ben (X/@videotechuk_), you can see Bully at the top of the ‘Rockstar Classics’ section. Additionally, the 2006 title was also added to the same line under the ‘Most Popular’ category.
Bully became a critically acclaimed title from the 3D Universe of Rockstar Games immediately after its release. While new fans know the American gaming studio for GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, veterans love Bully and frequently demand its sequel.
The Rockstar Games Launcher also featured L.A. Noire with Bully. Per recent reports, Rockstar is working with L.A. Noire developers on a confidential VR video game project.
Nonetheless, fans seemed excited about the latest change and speculated that something new was coming from the studio.
Ben/@videotechuk themselves stated:
“Seems to be preparation for RDR1’s imminent release for PC, IMHO”
However, this is just speculation from the insider. Many other fans commented about a potential Bully 2 announcement.
Readers should note that details about a sequel for Bully were discovered in the GTA 5 source code leaks in December 2023. Dataminers found various artworks, character models, and many other things that hinted that Rockstar Games was once working on the project.
While you wait for the Bully sequel to be officially announced, you can check out the remaining drip-feed cars in GTA Online for now.
