GTA 6 devs DM Kai Cenat for a TwitchCon private meet
The TwitchCon event is currently happening in California, and GTA 6 developers seem to have a private meeting there. Kai Cenat, a popular streamer, claimed during a recent livestream that Rockstar Games followed him on X, and even messaged him to meet them at the ongoing TwitchCon 2024. The streamer’s reaction was priceless as he couldn’t believe the developers of the upcoming GTA 6 video game wanted to meet him.
The community team also complimented the streamer’s playthrough for another popular title – Red Dead Redemption 2.
GTA 6 devs give Kai Cenat a chance to meet at TwitchCon: Full message
As can be seen above, streamer Kai Cenat was live when he suddenly checked his X account and found out that GTA 6 developer Rockstar Games follows him. After a few clicks, he even found a message from Rockstar, sent to him on September 18, 2024:
“Hey Kai, We wanted to let you know that a few of us from the Rockstar Community Team will be visiting TwitchCon 2024 in San Diego this week, September 20-22.”
The message further acknowledged the steamer’s recent playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2:
“We enjoyed watching your playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2 and would love to introduce ourselves. If you’re planning to be at the event, please let us know. All the best, The Rockstar Games Community Team.”
The TwitchCon is a semi-annual convention that celebrates the culture of esports, live streaming, and more.
Fans should note that this doesn’t mean that Rockstar has planned to show exclusive footage of GTA 6. However, it’s quite possible that it may discuss the upcoming game in some manner.
While Grand Theft Auto 6 was previously rumored to be delayed to 2026, those rumors were shunt by Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive. During a recent annual report, it revealed that it's planning to release the game according to the announced time frame of 2025.
As of September 22, 2024, the GTA 6 release date is still set for the fall of 2025, and fans may hear more about the game from the developers very soon. A second trailer for the game is highly expected to be released later this year.
