Subscribers can install and play the game for free, along with the Definitive Edition of other two classic titles – Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Grand Theft Auto 3. According to recent data by Appmagic analyzed by mobilegamer.biz, the game has successfully managed to get over 25.2 million installs so far.
The report also revealed huge numbers for the combined GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition downloads by Netflix subscribers. This article explains more.

As per the report, here is the total number of downloads the entire Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Definitive Edition by Netflix Games has attained so far:
Android/iOS: 36,600,000
Out of the 36.6 million, the GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition saw 25.2 million installs, which is significantly higher than the last report in June.
Moreover, Grand Theft Auto Vice City Definitive Edition had a total of 7.8 million downloads so far as part of Netflix Games. This makes it the second-best Grand Theft Auto game under the streaming platform's umbrella.
In third place is Grand Theft Auto 3 Definitive Edition, with an impressive total of 3.6 million downloads so far, up from 300,000 as reported in June.
