Nearly 900, 000 GTA Online players have tried the new game mode: Report

GTA Online is without a doubt one of the most successful multiplayer games in recent history, and for good reason. Rockstar Games regularly adds new content to the game, to ensure that the player base is kept engaged. That’s exactly what happened with the release of the new Ludendorff Cemetery Survival game mode. According to a recent report on October 13, 2024, by popular insider Tez2, nearly 900,000 gamers have tried the mode so far.

It is a brand new zombie survival mode where players fight waves of undead NPCs.

GTA Online players are seemingly pleased by the new game mode, which now has over 1.7 million plays

As seen above in the X post, the Tez2 report suggested that thousands of GTA Online players loved the new Ludendorff Cemetery Survival game mode. It was released last week on October 10, 2024, as part of the second GTA 5 Halloween update of this year. Based on the data, Rockstar’s double bonus rewards also likely played a big part in keeping the player base invested in the new mode.

As of writing this article, the numbers seem to be increasing. Currently, the report shows that the new survival mode has over 1.7 million plays. These numbers are more than double what was reported two days ago.

On October 11, 2024, the insider reported that over 400,000 users had tried the new GTA 5 zombie game mode, making it a bigger success when compared to the release of other new modes like Assault on ATT-16. According to the insider, the new mode sees a 270% increase in the players' count compared to the other mode.

On October 12, 2024, the developers also announced that gamers had completed the North Yankton Nightmare Community Challenge with 200+ million zombies vanquished so far. They also added a new goal for the player base to slay a total of 800 million zombies collaboratively to unlock the Green Glow and Purple Glow Skeleton Onesies.

Players seem to have gotten halfway through the goal already, with over 430 million zombies eliminated by the Grand Theft Auto Online community.
