"We are on trailer 2 watch": GTA 6 fans expect new footage before Take-Two's earning call
Grand Theft Auto fans are often on the lookout for any new piece of information on the series' upcoming, and highly anticipated, sequel GTA 6. Needless to say, Rockstar Games' silence on the matter hasn't helped. While the developer did release a trailer, that was nearly a year ago from this writing. This long gap is also why fans are now expecting trailer 2 to drop very soon, with the title supposed to launch in Fall 2025.
The fact that Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, is set to host an earnings call has also amped up the expectations. Popular Grand Theft Auto YouTuber TGG's recent post on X indicated this same sentiment:
"We are on trailer 2 watch! There is a *chance* that Rockstar could announce GTA 6 trailer 2 within the next 1-2 days. Take-Two Interactive will hold an investor call tomorrow, which means any announcement would likely come beforehand."
A fan page on X, @GTAVI_Countdown, highlighted Rockstar's post regarding Trader Bonuses in Red Dead Online, stating that the developer had made a similar tweet before Take-Two's earnings call last year too. This was then followed by the trailer 1 announcement.
The Trader Bonuses post was also discussed on Reddit, where many fans found the timing, and similarity to last year's events pretty intriguing. u/Onaterdem had this to say:
"Saw this on Twitter as well. See, this is curious. I'm starting to give in to the conspiracy."
Interestingly, some fans even believe that Rockstar Games might have hinted the arrival of GTA 6's second trailer in a promotional image for the recently announced GTA Online Winter update 2024.
Fans expect GTA 6 trailer 2 news close to Take-Two Interactive's upcoming earnings call
The next Take-Two Interactive earnings call will be held on November 6, 2024. Take-Two or Rockstar have not indicated any Grand Theft Auto 6-related announcements taking place around this event. However, as the title's first trailer was announced suddenly before the November 2023 earnings call, fans expect something similar to happen again.
This isn't the only reason behind high expectations. As already discussed, the Red Dead Online tweet has also made fans curious. Additionally, Grand Theft Auto 5's first two trailers were also released within a similar time gap.
