New GTA 6 leak on TikTok: Possibly a fake as pointed out by a report

An account on X, @GTAGolden_, further shared the alleged GTA 6 leak video on the growing social media platform. The footage is only 29 seconds long, and fans can see what seems to be the first-person view of Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay. A couple of vehicles, NPCs, buildings, graffiti on the walls, and more can be seen in the clip.

@GTAGolden_ further highlighted a logo on one of the vehicles featured in the alleged GTA 6 leak clip, claiming it looks “very similar.”

While the footage does seem convincing due to a similar setting seen in the official GTA 6 trailer, other fans pointed out some things that question its authenticity.

User @GTAHouse_ES did a detailed analysis of the alleged GTA 6 leak video and shared the results on X on October 14, 2024. According to them, here are the few things one must know about the footage (translated into English):

  • The animation of entering the car is from Cyberpunk 2077
  • The left-side van is a real-life Mercedes model
  • The van’s logo is the Amazon arrow.

They also emphasized that Rockstar Games would never make a logo that looks exactly like the real-life one,

“Much less copy it and invert it.”

Popular Grand Theft Auto community member and YouTuber TGG also commented on the alleged GTA 6 leak shared on X, and called it a fake in the following manner:

“This looks exactly like wynwood too. Fake tho…”

Another user @JohnBond9522 pointed out that it’s not the RAGE engine used by Rockstar and the developers will never use real-life vehicles, implying the clip is fake.

Gamers must take everything claiming to be a leak with a grain of salt until confirmed by the developers themselves, just like they did after the leak incident of 2022. The game's trailer 2 is expected to be released anytime this year.
