"Train tracks"—GTA Online fans share their favorite spots to lose cops
GTA Online can be quite challenging due to the relentless cops chasing players around. Since it is quite easy to get the wanted stars and relatively difficult to reduce them, players have creatively come up with different ways to lose cops in the game. In response to Reddit user XGamingPersonX's post, several fans came forward with their best ideas to end a chase and other hiding spots that new players can utilize.
The best answer to this question came from BlueitXR:
"Train Tracks"
This is a brilliant method since the police cannot keep track of players once they start driving on the train track. However, police helicopters can still be a threat. Fortunately, players have a way to get rid of them as well.
BeardInTheNorth mentioned how one can hitch a ride on a passing train and use the flat cars to avoid contact with the cops and their helicopters. Interestingly, one can also utilize this situation to use a sniper and shoot down the helicopters. Note that this will not get rid of the wanted stars.
Other fans joined the conversation with the iconic dialog from GTA San Andreas to spice things up. True_Technician4544 had the following response to using the train track to lose the cops:
"All you had to do was follow the damn train."
This is a reminder of the iconic mission from San Andreas, where players have to chase a train while Big Smoke takes the passenger seat. He criticizes CJ with this dialog if players miss the train and it goes out of bounds. In GTA 5 and its online multiplayer, there are various other ways to lose the cops.
Best ways to lose cops in GTA Online
While outrunning the police is one of the most common methods that almost everybody applies during a chase, there are other efficient ways to lose the wanted stars in GTA Online. As stated, one of them is driving on the train tracks until the cops lose interest or take a ride on the train and break the visual contact.
The other method is to wear a scuba suit under your dress and jump into the water. If you keep swimming on the surface or take a boat, the cops will still chase you for a while. However, diving deep and remaining submerged breaks the visual contact allowing you to lose the stars in GTA Online.
You can also drive into one of the many multi-level parking and immediately ditch your current vehicle. Safely drive out of the parking lot inside a new car and the police won't notice you. This is one of the best GTA Online features fans would also love to see in GTA 6.
Cop chases are quite fun in the game, and hopefully, the upcoming title makes it more thrilling with advanced police AI and more options to break contact. In the meantime, you can check out what fans expect from the GTA 6 driving physics.
