How much time The Rock, Usain Bolt and other fit celebrities sleep, lift, eat and relax
Have you ever wondered what an average day in the life of an elite athlete or A-list superstar looks like?
Well, just in time for the "New Year, New You" portion of the year, the U.K.-based PureGym took a look at the routines of the stars for its website.
No matter whether your fitness focus is based in bodybuilding, running or practicing yoga, PureGym took a look at how some of the world’s top fitness fanatics shape their routine to balance life, work and well-being. This list of stars includes professional athletes (Usain Bolt, Serena Williams, Chris Hoy), actors (Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) and actresses (Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez).
In the case of The Rock -- as visually shown below -- the former WWE champion starts his day off with running in the 4 o'clock hour, as followed by eating around 5 o'clock in the morning, then weightlifting around 6:00 AM. This is followed by his "day job," which appears to include four-time allotments for eating. The Rock is then noted to relax and then go to bed.

That sort of routine reportedly varies greatly from record-holding former competitive swimmer Rebecca Adlington, who kicks her day off with her "day job" -- presumed to be swimming and related work -- around 6:00 am, then eats and relaxes alternately before getting back into work mode around 3:00 pm, as followed by more eating. Adlington is said to lift weights around 5:30 pm before eating, relaxing and going to bed.
Britain's largest gym chain in terms of membership, the Leeds-based PureGym Limited was founded in 2009 by Peter Roberts. Most of the company's gyms are open 24 hours daily, offering exercise classes, free and fixed weights, and cardio equipment. It has plans to open 300 gyms by the year 2020.
