Asian Champions Trophy 2024: Full schedule, squads, match timings, and live-streaming details
The Asian Champions Trophy 2024 is back with its eighth edition set to commence at the Moqi training base in Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia. The tournament is scheduled from 8th September 2024 till 17th September 2024.
After claiming their fourth title (2011, 2016, 2018, 2023) in the 2023 Men's Asian Champions Trophy, India are currently the most successful team in the tournament. Pakistan are the second most successful with three titles (2012, 2013, 2018) while Korea has won in 2021.
India finished at the top of the 2023 ACT points table with four wins and one loss. Malaysia finished second with 12 points while South Korea and Japan ended in the next two spots, respectively.
Malaysia defeated Korea 6-2 to advance to the finals while India beat Japan 5-0. However, India outclassed Malaysia 4-3 in the finals.
Indian captain Harmanpreet Singh was the top-scorer with nine goals while his teammate Mandeep Singh earned the Best Player title. Pakistan’s Abdul Shahid won the award for the Best young player while South Korea's Kim Jae-hyeon was the Best Goalkeeper.
The six participating nations in the upcoming edition include India, China, Pakistan, Malaysia, Japan, and Korea.
A total of 15 league-stage matches are scheduled from September 8-14, three matches a day. After the conclusion of the league stage, the fifth and sixth-ranked teams will compete in the fifth-place game while the top four teams will advance to the semi-finals.
The first and fourth-placed teams will lock horns in the first semi-final while the second and third-ranked teams will meet in the next. The winners will qualify for the finals while the losers will square off in the third & fourth-placed game.
The semi final fixtures are on September 16 while the finals will played on September 17, 2024.
