Commonwealth Games 2014: Indian men's hockey squad and schedule of matches
The Indian Hockey Team won the silver medal at the Delhi Commonwealth Games in 2010. They will find it tough to replicate their success this time around as India are in Pool A with Australia, South Africa, Wales and hosts Scotland.
India will look to bounce back after a dismal World Cup in the Hague. The team’s forward line-up looks a little better with the return of Nikkin Thimmaiah and Gurwinder Singh Chandi.
Chief Coach Terry Walsh was hopeful of a good finish in Glasgow. "I am confident that by combining the experience of these senior players Sunil and Chandi, along with the opportunities created by our midfield, we can increase the conversion rate of the team and produce excellent results." Walsh said in an Interview.
