Four Nations Invitational Hockey tournament: India vs Belgium - Telecast, live streaming, date, start time and where to watch online
In the final of the Four Nations Invitational Hockey tournament, India will face Belgium at the Blake Park in Tauranga, New Zealand on Saturday.
India beat Japan as they scored six goals and conceded none to start the tournament on a good note. But, they lost to Rio Olympics silver-medalists Belgium in their second match by 2-0. Then, they beat the hosts New Zealand 3-1 to book their place in the final.
On the other hand, the Olympic silver-medalists lost their first match of the tournament as the Black Sticks beat them 1-0 in a tight encounter. Then, in their second match, they beat India and then went on to beat Japan 4-1 in their third match to set-up an encounter with India in the final.
For this tour, India's head coach Sjoerd Marijne selected a squad which comprises both experienced and young players. Also, PR Sreejesh made a comeback to the national side after a long injury lay-off and would be hoping for a good outing in the important encounter after conceding only three goals in 180 minutes of action during the tour.
The Indian contingent would like to win the first tournament of the year and get the much-needed momentum for the upcoming Commonwealth and Asian Games.
Just before the final, hosts New Zealand will face Japan to determine the 'third-placed' team. After the final, all the teams will travel to Hamilton for the second leg of the tournament.
