Sidney Crosby is a Canadian ice hockey player in the National Hockey League. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins as the first overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry draft and is serving as captain for the Penguins as of 2024. He started his junior hockey journey with the Rimouski Oceanic where he achieved a lot of accolades and helped his team to the 2005 Memorial Cup Finals.
Crosby debuted in the NHL during the 2005-2006 season. He became a runner-up for the Calder Memorial Trophy, given to the Rookie of the Year. He had a contribution of 102 points in his rookie season.
