Calcutta Football League 2024 Points Table: Updated standings on July 12
On Friday, July 12, Calcutta Police Club defeated Kalighat SL Association in the 45th match of the Calcutta Football League 2024, while Police Athletic Club drew with Eastern Railway Sports Club in the next. Tollygunge Agragami lost to SP Bhawanipore Club in the last game of the day.
Bhawanipore moved from second to first position after a 3-1 victory over Tollygunge Agragami FC. Jiten Murmu scored two goals for Bhawanipore while Azharuddin Mallick scored one.
Calcutta Customs dropped to second spot with wins in all three games. They have goals a goal difference of seven and nine points in their account.
Calcutta Police Club’s 2-1 win helped them move from fourth to third position with three wins in four games. Das R and Samir Bayen scored a goal each for Calcutta.
East Bengal slipped from third to fourth with two wins in a row. Following closely, Peerless and Kalighat SL occupy the next two spots with two victories in four games each. Peerless has a goal difference of 1 while Kalighat has zero.
Rainbow FC retained their seventh position, having won one and drawn two out of four games. Similarly, George Telegraph reclaimed their ninth spot with three losses in four games.
Tollygunge Agragami FC suffered their third loss in the previous game against Bhawanipore (2-1) with Sanjay Sharma scoring the solitary goal. Mohun Bagan Super Giants, having drawn both of their games, find themselves in the 11th spot.
Meanwhile, Eastern Railway and Police AC are yet to taste their first success.
