Calcutta Football League 2024 Points Table: Updated standings on July 23
Peerless Sports Club and SP Bhawanipore Club locked horns in the 70th match of Calcutta Football League 2024 on Tuesday, July 23. On the other hand, Calcutta Police Club drew with Mohun Bagan Super Giant while Police Athletic Club and Tollygunge Agragami locked horns in the third match of the day.
Bhawanipore Club registered their fifth victory of the season, defeating Peerless SC 3-0. Jiten Murmu, Jojo Zaihmingthanga, and Umer Muhthar scored one goal each. The win helped them move from second to first spot in the Group B points table with five wins and one draw.
East Bengal dropped to second, having won four out of five games. They have maintained a goal difference of +15 and have 13 points in their account.
Calcutta Police Club and Calcutta Customs retained their third and fourth positions, with four wins, 12 points and three wins, 10 points, respectively. Railway FC and Kalighat SL Association remain in the next two spots, having won two and lost two out of their five games.
NBP Rainbow AC holds the eighth position with three draws and two losses in six games. Similarly, Peerless SC dropped from seventh to ninth and George Telegraph slipped from ninth to 10th with six points each.
Eastern Railway and Tollygunge Agragami FC are ranked 11th and 12th in the CFL 2024 points table with just one win in five games. However, the Railway has four points while Agragami has three points in their tally.
Police AC has lost five out of six games while one ended as a draw. They haven’t scored a goal so far but conceded 16.
Meanwhile, Mohun Bagan SG drew 1-1 with Calcutta Police Club, with Suhail Bhat scoring the solitary goal.
