Calcutta Football League 2024 Points Table: Updated standings on July 26
On Friday, July 26, Diamond Harbour defeated Wari in the Group A match of the Calcutta Football League 2024. Meanwhile, Calcutta Customs Club beat George Telegraph SC, Kalighat Sports Lovers’ Association lost to Peerless Sports Club, and SP Bhawanipore Club beat Calcutta Police Club.
Two games - Police Athletic Club vs Emami East Bengal FC and Railway Football Club vs Eastern Railway Sports Club - ended without a result.
In the Group A points table, Diamond Harbour finished at the top of the CFL 2024, having won five out of six games, including the most recent one against Wari 2-1. On the other hand, Wari finished 12th with four losses in seven games.
In Group B, Bhawanipore Club defeated Calcutta Police Club in their seventh game and secured their sixth win by a 1-0 margin. They finished at the top with 19 points and a goal difference of 16.
East Bengal retained their second spot with five wins in six games. Meanwhile, Calcutta Customs and Calcutta Police Club interchanged their positions to finish third and fourth, respectively, with 13 points each.
Peerless, who had a decent campaign in the Calcutta Football League 2024, jumped from the ninth to fifth spot. They won three out of seven games and finished fifth with nine points in their account.
Kalighat Sports Lovers Association and Railway FC occupied the sixth and seventh spots, respectively, with seven points each. Similarly, Mohun Bagan Super Giants, NBP Rainbow AC, and George Telegraph finished in the next three positions with six points each.
Both Eastern Railway and Tollygunge Agragami FC won one out of their five games and finished 11th and 12th spots, respectively.
Police AC had a disappointing run in the CFL 2024, losing five out of their six games. They failed to score a goal and conceded 16.
