Hyderabad FC loan Mohammad Yasir to FC Goa for the rest of the season

Hyderabad FC have loaned Mohammad Yasir to his former club FC Goa until the end of the 2023-24 Indian football season. This continues the exodus from the Nawabs after Vignesh Dakshinamurthy left them for Odisha FC on a similar loan deal earlier this week.

It has to be noted that this move comes through solely because Yasir, along with his teammates, has reportedly been unpaid for several months by Hyderabad.

The club is going through immense financial distress, and this has prompted the likes of Felipe Amorim, Jonathan Moya, and Oswaldo Alanis to leave the club already.

First-team coach Conor Nestor and goalkeeping coach Rory Grand also terminated their contracts with the Yellow and Black at the end of last year.

Mohammad Yasir has played for FC Goa in the past

Mohammad Yasir represented the Gaurs in the 2017-18 season before he moved to FC Pune City, who were the predecessors of Hyderabad in the Indian Super League.

The loan deal will likely see him resurrect his career with a fresh mindset and not worry about his impending wages that Hyderabad have failed to clear.

He will be adored by the faithful at Fatorda, who will welcome him back as one of their own, allowing him to flourish and push for a comeback into the national team.

The 25-year-old was far from his best for the Nawabs this season, with just one goal against Bengaluru FC to speak of in the 11 appearances he made in the ISL. He also has one assist to his credit.

Hyderabad FC have to find a way to deal with this exodus of players, and Sportskeeda understands that they are loaning their first-team starters out to fellow clubs so that they do not lose out financially till the end of the season.

The ownership group of the Yellow and Black is trying its best to resurrect its financial structure so that the issue comes to an end soon, ensuring that their players do not get disillusioned.
