Kerala Blasters FC sign fiery forward Noah Sadaoui on a two-year contract ahead of ISL 2024-25
Kerala Blasters FC announced the acquisition of forward Noah Sadaoui on a two-year deal, securing his services until 2026 on Tuesday (July 2). The 30-year-old Moroccan forward was one of the standout performers for FC Goa and will hope to create an instant impact with the Yellow Army.
In the summer of 2022, Sadaoui made his way to the Indian Super League (ISL) to join the Gaurs. Since then, the blistering winger has scored 29 goals and provided 16 assists, contributing to a goal in nearly every game in his 59 appearances.
The forward is Kerala Blasters' first foreign signing of the summer and will join his new teammates in Thailand for the club's pre-season preparations.
Expressing his eagerness to join the Blasters and play in front of their passionate supporters, Sadaoui stated in a club statement:
“I am really excited to join Kerala Blasters and be part of such a passionate club. The energy and support from the KBFC fans is simply incredible and I cannot wait to play in front of them. I'm looking forward to contributing to the club's success and being part of this exciting journey. Together, we can achieve great things and make our mark this season."
The club's sporting director Karolis Skinkys was elated after the acquisition of Sadaoui's signature. The Lithuanian averred:
“I'm very happy Noah joined us to help reach our targets. Obviously, we expect him to be one of the most important players in our team and one of the best players in the league like he was during the last two ISL seasons. I really appreciate his desire to join Kerala Blasters and feel that this association can be very successful.”
A quick look at Noah Sadaoui's career before his ISL stint
Before arriving on Indian shores, Noah Sadaoui garnered plenty of experience and exposure plying his trade across various leagues and continents. He started in the youth setup of Wydad Casablanca before transitioning to the PDA Academy, affiliated with MLS side New York Red Bulls.
However, his first professional stint was with Israeli Premier League Club Maccabi Haifa back in 2013.
Noah's career took off with a standout season at Omani outfit Mirbat SC, followed by successful stints at Enppi SC, MC Oujda, Raja Casablanca, and AS FAR.
Sadaoui has had a brief impact internationally, making four appearances for the Moroccan national team since his debut in 2021. He was part of Morocco's victorious 2021 African Nations Championship campaign, starting in both the semi-finals and the final.
For anyone who has followed ISL over the past two seasons, Sadaoui's exploits are well known. A wily customer on the flanks, an elite ball carrier, sprinkled with a bit of magic dust in his boots, the Moroccan winger is an outright menace for any opposition.
Pairing up with Adrian Luna, Sadaoui will be expected to make a tremendous impact for the Yellow Army.
