Iris Jondahl crowns husband Marcus Ericsson 'best husband in the world' in heartwarming anniversary post
The Andretti Global driver Marcus Ericsson's wife, Iris Jondahl, uploaded a post to her Instagram account to mark the couple's second wedding anniversary. They got together somewhere around 2016.
The couple was first spotted in the paddock at the Indy 500 in 2022. On Friday, Jondahl shared a carousel of pictures of her and her husband, Marcus Ericsson, to mark their wedding anniversary. She captioned the post with:
"Wow, time flies when I'm with you. Happy anniversary to the best husband in the world 🤍 Promise me you'll still love me when I'm wrinkly and have lost all my hair- beacuse as you can see in the last picture, that might be coming sooner than we think!🤣
The 15-picture carousel featured pictures from Ericsson's victory at the Indy 500 in 2022 to the various other events that the couple has attended together. The post also featured some pictures of the couple in the paddock pre-race.
Iris Jondahl is a Greek-Swedish model, signed to several modeling agencies in Greece and Bouvet Island. The model was raised in Denmark along with her sibling. She has made several appearances in films and television series, leaving a mark in the acting world.
As for Marcus Ericsson, he drives the #28 Honda-powered Andretti Global car. His 2025 season is off to a great start as he qualified in 7th place during the season opener at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and finished the race in 6th place.
The couple tied the knot on April 17, 2023. Despite her busy schedule, Iris Jondahl is seen supporting Marcus Ericsson at his races. She was last seen at the race in St. Petersburg.
Marcus Ericsson reflects on frustrating Long Beach Grand Prix
The Swedish driver Marcus Ericsson had a strong start to the weekend as he qualified in 5th place on Saturday. However, he failed to capitalize on the strong pace that was displayed during the qualifying.
The Andretti Global driver started his race in 5th place with the same strategy as his teammate, Kyle Kirkwood, who started in 1st place and won the race. But after the first round of pit stops, the Swedish driver fell behind. While in conversation with Frontstretch after the race, Ericsson spoke about the race.
“A bad day for us, but we were sort of spiraling in the wrong direction all the way through, to be honest. Disappointing. We had a lot of speed in the 28 car, but it's just stuck behind slower cars all day and it's frustrating,” Ericsson said.
The #28 driver highlighted Kirkwood's win and how he was happy for the team.
“You know, I'm super happy for that group and you know, we're making progress as a team and that's really good and yeah, really happy with them. But yeah, we've got some work to do on our side,” he added
Marcus Ericsson stands in 12th position in the Drivers' championship.
